Anyone interested in picking up FarCry3 for $29 (not Steam version) head over here: http://tinyurl.com/d8g3kep
Some other pretty good deals here: http://www.g2play.net/store/home.php

With that said I finally got around to try Tropico4 (I know I know I am really late from this party) and I am liking it a lot. Have it on my wishlist, hoping for a good deal on it @ the Steam Christmas sale. I remember seeing it on sale quiet a bit.

And not surprisingly dissapointed by Far cry 3
Trailers never did anything for me, and after forcing myself to play for 3 hours I just could not get into it.
Why did you even bother buying it then?

That wasn't necessarily due to its awesomeness. Of course it was the high-end benchmark for so long because it took that long before a normal person could buy a computer that could run it and still be affordable.
I think it had more to do with how unoptimized that engine was. You've had to throw more hardware at it to make it run smooth.
Crysis 2 fixed that because it still looked good and run a ton better but the levels were chopped way down in size.
I wonder how Crysis 3 will change all that but I am not holding my breath. I hope they will make a decent PC game, but there are many other very decent PC games out there and in terms of visual I think BF3 raised the bar quiet high. At least for me anyways.
Wonder if they will release a demo for the PC

Seriously, though... the Russians are grey. The Germans are slightly darker grey.
That's generally my problem too. I am always nervous to pull the trigger on someone because it may be my team mate, then I get an earful of how much of a dumb n00b I am. I'd rather just play with bots. At least they don't give me shit for team kills

To echo the sentiments many others have expressed, somehow I get enough enjoyment reading about all the convoluted doublecrosses, scams, ganking etc. in Eve Online that I feel no desire to actually play it myself. Would probably make a great book, though.
There are EVE books out there, not sure if they follow what's going on in the game at all though.

I am not too keen on the time trial stuff either but the rest of the challenges look pretty cool.
I totally understand the "too many not played games" complaint though trust me.

Steam Christmas sale supposed to start up on the 20th so we will see, I will buy this DLC for sure.

$3.75 from gmg with GMG25-CZPYL-D5MQ6...

I think I'll wait on the xmas sale, however...

To save another 10 cents ?
C'mon nin I know you are cheap but we are talking about less then $4 here

As for the main game not this DLC, to replay any of the previous levels I'd have to restart the game? I have created some separate save games other then the autosaves so I should be okay to replay any of the levels right?
I love how I am finding new ways to complete a mission just by trying out different things, I try to sneak around and not kill anyone on most missions but shit can hit the fan super fast.

I think people should have at the very least have a general idea of where they are going with or without a GPS. If you don't know that your destination is 200 or 300 km away then that is your own fault.
People were able to get around before there were any GPS. On the paper map you don't get a blinking point where your current location is.
So no I don't feel sorry for the idiots getting lost because they have no clue where they are going the begin with.

This story reminds me of that old man with the recreation vehicle driving down on the high way, turned on the cruise control (he thought that was auto pilot) and went to the back to make a cup of coffee.

The beef with FarCry 3 is the shear lack of motivation to do anything else other than the main quest.
That's pretty much the theme of most of the complaints about that game. While it is fun and looks great, there is really not much reason or motivation to go explore because the game hands you everything very early on.
I might pick it up on one of the Steam sales but I am no hurry. New game prices drop pretty drastically shortly after release these days.

*MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS AND I AIN'T USING TAGS*

Ok I have a major beef with Dishonored. First example was going after the first guy. You could poison him (which i thought was the only outcome), but I was trying to figure out a way to save the girl's uncle. So after some googling I find out there is a really AWESOME way to 'stick it' to the guy, that I had NO CLUE about and only stumbled across while googling.
Next up is the twins at the Golden Cat. I ran it 'my way' and stumbled across the girl by accident, and decided to go the non-lethal route and let the gangster deal with them. Did the mission, went back to him and turned in the mission, he suddenly attacks me and I fail the mission?!?

Also I HATE backtracking in games, with a passion. Not to mention when trying to get into the Golden Cat there are TONS of invisible walls, as I should have easily been able to blink into the place from the water and ledges.

Story is great so far, voice acting is spot on (especially Granny), visuals are great, but would have expected a little more objective based info. I guess I'm more use to to all objectives being on 1 map instead of several, because I didn't know I could go through the dog pens during the first mission to gain access.

I've had no problem with either one of those missions you've described, and I did not google anything about this game yet. Maybe I was just lucky and stumbled upon the right way to complete those missions not sure.
I am really liking the game so far.
Not sure about this DLC though, maybe I'll get it on sale or something. Ones I finished the main game I want to play something else for a little, so many awesome games available so little time.

What has this world turned in to. I can write a freaking book about all the crap that Dishonored is.

Am I the only one who remembers that Ubisoft not so long ago announced it was abandoning its always-on DRM? Heck, I took them at face value and added the game to my wishlist never bothering to check what the DRM was going to be. I feel kind of foolish - here I am thinking they changed their ways. Instead they use the same garbage with a "workaround" that apparently doesn't even work.
Rules for buying Ubisoft games:
#1 - Don't
#2 - If you fail to follow rule #1 then at least wait a week or 2 for a 50% off sale

I actually kind of liked the gameplay videos of this one. I might grab the game on the Steam Christmas sale if they patch out the DRM, but I will try the "demo" first.
