I'll never forget the time I somehow (accidentally) managed to kill 3 guys with the same bullet in 2. That was so fucking awesome, and I didn't even plan it...

Yep there were fun moments in 2 but it was super linear. In 3 they seem to address this issue. Could be a fun game.

I didn't care for Bastion but I will try a demo of this game if there is one.

I didn't either. I like the way this one is semi-turned based, where you queue up various attacks.

Yeah that is pretty cool, I assume the combat is going to be pretty hectic later on. I also like the graphics style and the futuristic setting, but I don't like all those enough to blindly drop the $20 for the game.

I didn't think premium meant free to play. Hopefully their full PC game announcement will make more sense than that one sentence mention of it's existence.

Holy fuck, this muxwell guy is the scum of the earth. Glad Valve did pull this.

Has there been any updates from him since it was pulled? I'd love to hear some screaming.

Nahh he is too busy creating a new account and resubmit his "game" under a different name.

I don't see this game being any better than the last few MW games. How good could it be when they have less than a year to make it?
You do realize that there are 3 different studios working on this franchise now right?
Each studio takes it's turn to release a new game every 3 years.

Yeah it seemed low for me as well, but they were claiming the game sold close to 17mill copies on the consoles and only 2~3 mill on the PC.
Even though all the media sources were reporting the PC version of Skyrim was outselling the console version by a large margin when the game came out.
I also doubt Skyrim still sells that well on the 360 or PS3, yet it still sells well on the PC.

Wish Steam would release some real numbers, not sure what's the point of hiding digital sales numbers.

DayZ is the new Skyrim

Not all #1's have equal sales. For as long as Day Z has been #1, I've heard it has now sold 2 million. When you look at it that way, sometimes being #1 on steam isn't all that impressive.
Actually I don't think Skyrim sold a whole heck of a lot more units on the PC either. IIRC the reports were suggesting something like 3 million units sold on the PC.

Meh, I turn mine off every night, or if I'm going to work and not running a download.
Same here, for some reason sleep mode doesn't work too well on my desktop. Keep crashing for some reason.
When it doesn't crash it would go to sleep but then wake from sleep for no reason. (I have network wake or whatever it is called off)
I was screwing around with it for a while removed some windows updates which apparently caused the issue but problem still exist so I just shut it off.
With my SSD it doesn't take that long to boot up anyways.

Ok I see, thanks for the feedback.
I know the boot up time is faster but at the time when I've used 8 and not 8.1 the whole OS experience seemed sluggish. Games took longer to load, some crashed with some weird errors (assuming driver issues) etc.

On my newest build, Win8.1 significantly outperforms Win7 (both 64 bit installs). While the UI isn't my cup of tea, exactly, it's serviceable enough as I mostly use the desktop. For me, the performance gains were worth the change over.

I'm hoping Win9 cleans up the UI significantly. If that happens, I think 9 will have the same welcome and adoption that 7 has enjoyed.
Where exactly do you see performance gains over 7?
While I was using 8.0 it seemed a lot more sluggish compared to 7
