I built a PC (over the PS4 and XB1) because it's far cheaper in the long run and I preferred the games and the far superior and precise control setup. Being more powerful and able to handle higher resolutions in every single game, as well as being able to play games from all the way back in the 80s is just a bonus.
It depends on your preference really where do you want to game, but I disagree with your cheaper on the long run comment.
It is not cheaper to game on the pc, especially not on long run.
I much prefer my PC for gaming to the console also (except some local coop games that are just better to be played on the console in front of the tv) when you add up you total spending of hardware and software combined after 7 years I don't think you come out cheaper on the PC.

I don't know I kind of lost faith in Android devs. Maybe it's not their fault, but the tablet apps are just not very well optimized, and some are not even available on tablets.
Like my bank's app is available on my phone but not on the tablet.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S with an octa core cpu so I don't think it is the issue with how powerful the tablet is.
Even some games when you compare them to the much less powerful iPad they run much better on the Apple devices than on Android.

By the way I personally have never heard anyone actually owning an Nvidia tablet, which is why I was curious how well it does.
Nvidia mobile division makes chips for a tons of tablets and phones so of course they are doing well. The new Tegra X1 is in the recently released Nexus 9 for example

Now with this news, to be anything more than a yawn, it has to have some real power, like as good or better than the Bone and 4, if so, that is somewhat interesting.
Mehh even that what developer is going to invest money and resources to develop for a new console these days?
Isn't that what happened to that android console that was supposed to kill the xbox and playstation?
We'll see what Nvidia comes up with but I doubt it will be anything revolutionary ground breaking, that will change the gaming landscapes forevahh!!

I've had this preordered from GMG but ended up canceling it. After watching dev interviews and gameplay videos, I decided to wait for reviews and player feedback.
I'll pick it up later if it's good.

Lol, I got interdicted by an eagle. My turret lasers shot his shields off. Then, for fun, I launched a torpedo at him. He died instantly. 100% to zero. Cost me $15k to reload. Kind of worth it, though.

Sorry, for context, I'm in a t9.
It wasn't a human player I assume

I am about 5 missions in and love the game so far. I did restart some missions due to heavy losses, but that is to be expected.
Having a bit of a trouble with the grouping of the units, and adding units to my control groups as the battle goes on.
Formation is also a bit weird, I end up braking formation just so my smaller ships would engage sooner in missions where my harvesters are getting shot at.

I am also using the PC350 Sennheiser ones. They seem to be the best value/sound quality for a gaming headset. They are pretty comfortable also.

I am jealous!
It's been more than a decade for me. I vaguely remember a few of the missions, but mostly this will be almost like a new experience for me.
If you've watched the TB video he shows the intro cinematics from the original game and the remastered and it literally is like a new game just released in 2015. Night and day difference, same for the in game graphics.
Homeworld always looked good but with the new graphics upgrade it looks even better.

I don't see why they would. They'd still be selling cards to people that use AMD primarily. Wouldn't a sale in that case be better than no sale at all?
Nvidia already did this. You are no longer able to use an Nvidia card for physx and AMD for video, even though you used to be able to do that.

Iirc you were able to have an Nvidia card for physx, and AMD as a graphics card but driver updates disabled that function?
Having 2 different cards, both as a graphics card for the same display will be interesting though.
Not sure how many developer will bother to have their games optimized for it however.

Tailer aside, all reports ive heard thsufar (incluing TB, whos usually pretty cynical about remastering/remakes) say that gearbox have knocked this one out of the park and its more a total conversion level of remastering.
Yeah the TB video what sold me on it too.
