Never ever thought we`d be paying for demos and Betas. Oh how the times have changed.
Well that is a common miss conception, but you see you are not paying for a beta you are preordering a game and for that preorder in return the developers let you play the unfinished version. If you do not want that then do not pay anything just wait for the finished game to be released.
If you want to help the developers fund this project and a fan of this game or what the devs trying to achieve with this game then it is a good investment as I assume the finished game will cost more.
Then again you can wait for a sale and pick it up etc etc.

It is your choice noone force you to do anything.
The tech demo is free anyways if you want to give it a try.

Unless they've added to it, the early access honestly isn't as fun as the tech demo. Two small tracks, with less environment detail than Ultimate Carnage. I understand it's not final, so I'm just gonna let it sit. I spent way, WAY more time in the tech demo, as it oddly offers more to do than the early access game.

And I still believe they should allow for people to play the tech demo map in multiplayer as part of the full game. We'd invent our own weird game rules, they wouldn't need to do much other than tacking the map into the track list.
There are 2 race tracks and a demo derby stadium in the early access game. Each race track can be raced 12/24 or no car at all (practice mode)
I have been playing the demo derby mode with 24 cars and loving it.
The races are fun too to mix things up a bit.
I think ones it is finished it will be an amazing racing game.

Take that publishers.
Especially after the publishers told them there is no market for these kinds of games.

Gonna have to scrounge around for my controller for this. I think I borrowed it to a friend a few months ago...goddamn.
The 360 controllers are pretty cheap. I've seen some as low as $30 (wired) in BestBuy
Retailers are clearing them out to make room for the ONE controllers.

Started reading that paragraph but then by the second sentence this whining puppy sound popped into my head started laughing and stopped reading.
Good luck EA, you'll need it.

How can they call it a "1st/3rd person FPS?"

That's both horribly redundant and horribly contradictory!
Because you can switch between 3rd person and 1st person view
Check out some gameplay vids

This at least will give me a reason to get back into playing this a bit.
One pack a day sounds like a lot battle packs.
I wonder if you can get multiple items, otherwise this will be a lot of camo and custom skins for basically nothing.

Some of those user reviews are weird.

Wow. I went into this saying," Well.. why not." Biggest mistake of my life. This is one of the most original, fun concepts that I have seen in a while. I will DEFINITLY be supporting this game. 10/10 would play again!

By the way best dev studio name ever Ragequit Corporation

The last NASCAR game I played was from about 1994. NASCAR Racing from Papyrus for DOS.

I don't think I'll be spending any money on this one. Asseto Corsa will most likely be the next racing game I'll buy.

GeForce Experience is not the driver, it's optional bloatware. If it doesn't work for you, or you had it configured incorrectly, just remove it.
I don't think it is a bloatware. That video recorder software is awesome. Much much better performance recording videos with it then fraps. They are adding more and more options to it with each new version also. It is still in beta but I really like it already.

I have a 32" 16:9 monitor that I'm sitting maybe 3 feet away from.
What do you have?
I've been looking to get a bigger monitor than my 27 but not much available, only TVs in the 32" category or super wide screen 29" monitors which I am not a big fan of.

A quick Google will show you that several companies make 30"+ LCD monitors. Dell, Samsung, etc.
I don't think Samsung makes 32" monitors. Dell yes but only 1 model and it costs $3500?
There really isn't a lot of options out there. TVs are pretty much the only option but I don't like to use HDMI input I want to use DVI. Not many TVs have DVI input to use as a monitor.

The 360 version is almost guaranteed to be the most stable. That's where they're hoping to make their hay.
and that is probably where they will, unless the PC port sells extremely well, which I doubt

I played 1-3. I'm over the series now. The sorta lost me with the main guy's mom being a giant insect. Cool visuals, but each game was exactly the same.
Yeah the story line in Gears was a very emotional one. Probably Cliffy wrote it himself.
