This looks amazing. I wonder what sort of system specs this machine have.

The video is titled: "The Witcher 3 Gamepaly PS4/XBOXONE".

Does that mean the video was actually played on either of those? Let's assume yes for now.
Oh I totally missed that.
I did not see any console controller prompts (I watched the video at work on a small screen so I may missed something) so I assumed it was PC footage.

Speaking of PC gaming hardware, I am looking at getting a new keyboard possibly mechanical gaming keyboard and a new headset wit ha decent mic.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
Keyboards I like the Logitech G710+ and Razer Blackwidow Ultimate ed.
Headset it seems like the Astro A40 is what everyone swears by but I don't game on the console and I have a decent sound card in my PC so not sure if that would be the best choice for my needs.

Yeah they are fucking useless, a disgrace to call themselves "PC Gamer" might as well just rename themselves to IGN2 or something.
Gamespot had better coverage of PC games than "PC Gamer"

http://aqfl.net/node/11029 for the details and my first ever E3 visit. I also checked out this game in its tiny booth, but it was the best of all booths IMO! Smaller companies FTW!
Did you give the Oculus Rift a try with Elite?
I am loving the beta so far.
I have to stop playing it or I'll burn out before the game even comes out

"The PC Gamer E3 Awards - The 10 Best PC Games of E3 2014."
Pff what a bullshit list.
How can these guys get excited about games like Ass Creed or Dragon Age, Far Cry4 and fail to even mention games like Elite Dangerous or Killing Floor 2.
Yet No Man Sky is on their list which as far as I know wasn't even shown for the PC only PS4.
PC Gamer, more like Console Port Gamer

I will say that Mr. Roberts is looking quite tan, giving credence to Cutter's contention that he's spent all the money on a yacht, hookers, and blow, and spends most of his time cruising the Lesser Antilles.

Bandana
I am sure that tan came from all the monitor screens as he sits in front of them coding

I REALLY hope this doesn't mean that the BF franchise will turn into an "every other year" release like they did between BF3 and BF4.
Nope, this will mean BF franchise will turn into an annual release game like CoD.
BF4 came out last year.

Now Pre-orders will make sense, pre-order the game to get into early access, if its a disaster, cancel pre-order, done

You would think canceled pre-orders speak louder to EA than people who choose not to buy the game.
If they follow Steam's lead they will not allow you to cancel your preorder.

Very few OEM machines come with dedicated graphics cards in them.
For sure but not many PC gamers buy OEM machines from BestBuy.
For laptops I agree the dedicated video cards vs integrated is an issue, but for most desktop PC gamers it is a no brainer.

It would be crazy to stop offering stretch goals. The goals are currently in game items like a scanner kit and engine tuner. Things I would assume cost very little credits and take almost no time to make internally.
Do you seriously think that the funding these guys are getting because of the stretch goals offered?
Gee I really want an in game towel, we are so close to reach that other million, here is another $1,000.
I'd much rather see them focus on the game and deliver on that than waste time with stupid in game nick nacks that are useless.

That is finally some good thinking from CR.
Why he put that up for voting is beyond me though, it is so obvious he should stop the stretch goals and focus on finishing the core game.

Some of it looks a lot better than other stuff. For example the slo-mo shots between 0:08 and 0:17 look much better than the shots of cars at speed between 1:05 to 1:15. Maybe it's just crappy youtube video compression?
It could be that and/or video was made from different builds of the game. Same thing I've noticed with the Elite Dangerous E3 trailer. I've spotted at least 3 different builds in that 1 minute trailer.
The youtube compression however really does fuck up a lot of high quality videos
With that said, I can't hardly wait for this one. It looks better and better every time they show it off.
Hopefully the Ai gets ironed out a bit before release. I am hearing a lot of complaints about that, same goes for Asseto Corsa though.

When this game drops to $50 or $60 or so, I'm so in. Elite was by far the best game on my old c64, and this looks very faithful to that.
The final released version will be $50 I believe.
According to Braben from that interview I've linked the game should be out later this year so you probably won't have to wait too much longer
