The game isn't listed on Steam, can only be preordered from amazon or bestbuy here in Canada.
Wonder if this will be the first CoD that will ditch Steam.

I am a bit late to the party, just recently started playing WoT. I do like it so far.

It's interesting how the game is not listed on Steam, and can only be preordered from amazon or Bestbuy here in Canada.
Not that I want to preorder (it costs $80 ffs), just interesting. Wonder if they've ditched Steam as a DRM and Activision will have their own DRM client this year.

I am pretty sure it will be

Didn't we just have this CoD?

Call of Deus Ex: Advanced Elysium Warfighter

Maybe that can get 3 more studios making COD games and then put one out every 6 months.

stop giving them ideas

I feel sorry for the people who continue to spend money on it because you are ignorant of the far better games out there.
I thought you were talking about CoD there for a moment

Thanks for the feedback Aero.
At some point I was thinking about picking this up but the pricing scared me away.
Kind of strange they want to attract the casual player but charge the price of a hardcore sim game that only the fans of that sort of game would pay.
I like flight games but I don't play them enough to justify this kind of money.

Yeah I've stopped playing it a while back too. I'll be back to it eventually but right now I am way too addicted to World of Warships.

Looks interesting. Any invite codes floating around?
Unfortunately I don't have any. I got one from a fellow Blues poster via PM.
The problem with it though is from what I am seeing so far that it will be a very expensive game. Kind of like World of Tanks with the premium tanks/ammo etc.
It's very addictive though so as long as you are getting your money's worth from the premium membership it's all good.

You can play Elite with m+k, you do not NEED a HOTAS, or TrackIR, or Oculus Rift.

the in-game vsync makes everything extremely smooth.

I found Geforce Experience to actually be a little bit too conservative on my 970. It turns on FXAA when the game seems to run perfectly smooth with MSAAx2 + TXAA.
I have the exact opposite problem with it.
It cranks everything up to the max in Arma 3 and the game runs at 5fps. Looks awesome though
I am also using a 970.
I usually just tweak the settings myself, don't use this nvidia experience stuff.
Turn shadowplay on with the fps counter so I can see my actual fps while changing settings in game.

I think some of you are judging this game way too soon.

It's sort of easy to prejudge based on how DICE develops games now, the concept of having a true sandbox game just isn't in the cards as everything needs to conform to tidy pre-scripted events.

They're going to play it extremely safe with this game and by doing so it's bound to turn into a great looking game but a shallow play experience.

Just lower your expectations, forget that the developer is DICE who've had some great games in the past like BF2 or Bad Company and see if you can enjoy this game for what it is.
They haven't even shown any gameplay yet, why judge the game and declare it sucks without knowing much at all about it.
I am not saying this will be the game of the decade, because it may indeed end up being a suck fest, but I am also not writing it off just yet.

Xero wrote on Apr 22, 2015, 07:54:
I seriously hate this early access crud
It is you who decide to buy into the early access or not. If you want to experience the finished game just wait until it's out.
For the development stand point, it's great for the devs because they get some income while finishing up the game, making changes to community feedback and also squash bugs with the help of people that are fan of the game since they've paid for it in advance.

If they give the beta away for free (which some of them do sometimes) people would just use it as a demo and never give any feedback.
See BF "betas"
Again you are free to skip all of that and just buy the game when it's out. Noone is forcing you to buy anything but I for one like to have the Early Access option if I feel like supporting the devs.

With that said I do agree Trine isn't a very good game for early access. Just like any other single player only story driven game wouldn't be a very good EA game either.

Quiet a few issues with it according to Steam forum.
Than again it's an EA game so people should have known better and don't expect a fully functional bug free game.
