Good to see Kerbal there, a good game that's most likely educational too.

Zalman MS800 Plus case, i5 4690 3.5/3.9 (haven't tried to OC it yet), 16gb 2133 ram, Asus z97-A motherboard, Cosair H60 hydro cooling, Gigabyte GTX 970 1329mhz 4gb, 750w modular power supply, Samsung 500gb SSD and I threw in a Logitech Proteus Core mouse for good measure
I have the same video card. Very nice and quiet. Love the backlit logo on top.
I've been thinking of getting one of those Corsair liquid coolers for my CPU.
Enjoy the new system

All these demos do is show you what games with the latest graphics will look like in about 3-4 years.

I still remember the butterfly chick technology demo from Nvidia yeeeeeaaars ago and thought it was the most amazing thing when I ran it. Of course no gaming actually used those graphics or anything close to them.
No because most of these graphical bells and whistles won't be implemented into games unless consoles can handle it.
Very very rare to find a developer that will include PC exclusive features into their games that requires extensive development.
Maybe Chris Roberts can take advantage of some these DX12 features in SC

Some people even consider the original pledge ships redundant and yesterday's news. You can't really blame them for thinking along those lines either because updates on some of the older ships are more than overdue. Instead all we get is ALL NEW SHIP BUY NOW BUY MORE IT'S BETTER THAN ANYTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BUY BUY BUY.
Yep, it does seem like the originally pledged ships are already outdated. I probably won't be able to do much in my $35 ship ones the game comes out, other than fly around and get blown out of the sky by the multiple hundred dollars monstrosities.
I still won't give them any more money until I see a game that entertains me.

Too bad you started playin after the massive accuracy nerf.
I've lost almost all interest in WoT due to the nerf a patch or two ago.

I am more into World of Warships to be honest.
It's much slower pace, requires more strategy and team play. Much more of my play style, but I do like WoT too. At least the lower tiers are fun to play.

One of the recent Need for Speed games also had that weird fps lock issue. I remember watching the Total Biscuit video about it.

O_o

Well they already got three thousand five hundred of them out of you - cheesus christ.
Whoops. Missed a decimal place: $35.00. Thanks, Obama.

My jaw hit the floor for a sec there...

Well there is someone on this forum that posted a few times that he spent a few grand on this game.
There are people with different size of disposable income I guess and it's their money to spend not mine so *shrug
Obviously people don't mind throwing money at Chris Roberts promises. Hope they will make a good game with all that money.
I also only spent $35 and that is all Star Citizen worth for me at this point.
When I am playing the finished game and having fun and feel the need to spend more money I will reconsider it.

It's now listed for pre-order on Steam for $114.99 CDN. That's just for the digital deluxe version and does NOT include the "Season Pass" which is ANOTHER $49.99 CDN...

So, basically, $165 CDN for a COD that's looks like a ripoff of Deux Ex and Crysis because Activision is finally running out of ideas on how to keep the kiddies charging up their parent's credit cards. And, of course, it'll sell millions of copies because of paid off reviewers and stupid consumers. Bobby Kotick, despite being a soulless automaton, is a master at milking the foolish of their money for substandard products.
Yep I saw that.
It says on the Steam page that other versions are coming later but I guess they want to boost sales on the more expensive version by dangling the carrot (beta access) in front of people.
Even the regular version is $80 on amazon, by regular I mean you get an empty box with codblops3 on the box and everything else is paid DLC

It is but the preorders are up everywhere else. Just looks strange there is no mention of Steam and the game isn't even listed there.

It's on Steam now... You have to wait until 10AM Pacific for stuff like that to update.
I see, thanks

It's COD. They've always run at 60fps
