Maybe Valve should implement a stipulation on seeing how many achievements this person achieved and how much time they spent in that game. Those should be disqualification factors.
Steam already tracks hours played so they could easily do something like refund for up to 1hr gametime or something, but they just don't want to do it.

If that was true and they don't care about making software anymore because of no motivation, no $ etc., what is their motivation to make a new OS (for free), and hardware?
I am pretty sure they will not make nearly the profit on Steam VR headsets as they make on digital hats, and trading cards.

I don't understand how Origin/EA can offer refunds for 24hrs but Steam can not.

Because "can't" and "won't" are totally different things.

Yeah true enough, good points too InBlack
If for nothing else for this reason alone I wish Origin would get bigger to offer a competition to Steam. However I doubt EA would be able to do such a thing. The refund poilicy is a good start though

No we don't. Businesses in Ontario aren't required to provide refunds or exchanges. There's a cooling off period of 14 days on written contracts valued over $50, but if you choose to waive your rights by agreeing to the Terms of Use that's considered express consent.

A ToS and ToU or even contract can not be used to waive your rights in Ontario or Canada. That was covered under a case with Rogers Communications. Also, the part you're talking about has to do with all contracts between two or individuals not just 'written contracts.'
I thought you could always get your money back for purchases on Steam via Credit Card charge back, but doesn't that mean Valve will ban your Steam account?

If they did a kickstarter on half life 3 I bet it would make more money than Star Citizen did.

I wonder how many of these will you need to run the Valve VR headset.

I know you are kidding, but that will be able to handle a 1440P headset with no problem and Valves isn't 1440P. For some reason I feel this is a better built card than its predecessor and could see owning one (though I almost assuredly wont), I would have never owned the original titan. If I had trice the disposable income I wouldn't think twice, there is totally a market there though and they should sell.
2x1080p displays that has to run 90-120fps each
The interview I've watched with one of the engineers said that you will need a pretty beefy pc to run the headset.
I still wouldn't buy the titan for that much money though

Thanks for those tips guys. I kinda fucked up my city pretty good last night while trying to fix the traffic jam situation downtown. I think I've gone a bit overboard with the one way streets, turn them into 2 ways doesn't help just makes them even more jammed up.
I am around 35k-40k population. I am thinking of starting over.

That was me and if you read my posts closely then you will notice that I was talking about alpha passes. Backers past a certain point do not have automatic alpha access on their accounts but only beta access. If those backers want to play an alpha status module like Arena Commander or the upcoming FPS module then they have to buy a separate alpha access pass ($5 for Arena Commander).
I wasn't aware of that either until yesterday, found out about it on a totally different website/discussion.
