When you are tired and don't feel up to the task of competing against other players online, it's nice to just jump into the game with a lower difficulty setting bots and just stomp them because that is all you want to do.
It's great to have bots for games like these but sadly less and less developers care about that because online MP is the shits these days.
There are still some games that have bots like CS GO, Insurgency, some CoD titles, UT.
I used to enjoy just jump into a UT game against highest difficulty bots and just run and gun for 10-15 minutes to let some steam out at the end of the day.

Plants vs Zombies garden warfare was the same, no split screen on the PC only on consoles.
Not sure why EA cuts features from the PC versions of games.

As far as I know they are using a new game/graphics engine for this title, this is the first F1 title on "next gen" consoles, so that may explains the reason why SLI worked in previous titles and not in this one.

With that said I am hearing a lot of issues with the PC version. I'd hold on with the purchase and maybe grab this on sale down the line.
The console versions work fine though.

I sold my Scout LTI package today, so I'm happy with that. Tripled my "investment".

I didn't play any MP at all. Usually playing against the Ai in demo derbies and races. Kids and I are having a blast playing it, but like I said I haven't checked it out in a while.
Not sure how much SP they can add to a racing game.
Those screenshots do look pretty bad though, wtf

Next Car Game is developed by the original FlatOut game devs BugBear. I don't think they own the franchise
Flatout 3 was done by Team 6 like Blue mentioned it above.

F1 2012 was an abomination. I avoided buying it, as SLI support was broken in the demo and I checked out the forums - it was strange as F1 2011 worked fine. F1 2013 was fine as well, so I think it was a one off.
2011 and 2013 were done by the same developer.

That's one reason why I think some people doubt that the ship sales will ever go away. I just don't see any other revenue stream.
I think they will just pull a Project Cars 2 and drop Star Citizen 1 as soon as it's pushed out the door and start the kickstarter campaign of Star Citizen 2

At some point Kotick will look at the measly profits the PC version makes and just fold the operation and give the PC devs something else more profitable to work on.

Yeah I agree HE is a bit too much with the fires. Judging by the whining on the forum I think they will nerf that in the future. They've nerfed it a few times since the 4.0 patch which introduced this insane fire starting properties of HE.
Before that everyone was using AP always against any ships.

By the way if StLouis irritates you in your Battleship, wait until you see the high tier US cruisers like the Phoenix or the Atlanta. Those things rain fire on you. The Atlanta can pretty much continuasly fire it looks like raining bullets.
