I was wondering why my cpu fan was loud while it was preloading. Strange

While stunning graphics and fixes to previous versions of IL2 are commendable, the high price, lack of even an off line solitaire campaign and issues of customer support such as a simple PDF manual makes this reviewer take pause and ask C1 “why?” and while I enjoyed many aspects of this new simulator, C1 could have made it so much more with a little extra work on their part.

Too bad

Did any of you guys play X-Rebirth?
I did, and I know Creston did too, he is a huge fan of that game. Almost like a fanboy of sort
For me personally this review kind of sums up my feelings

One thing that worries me though in seeing how rocky the BF4 release was, is if Star Wars Battlefront is going to be rushed and patched over a year. Plus the thought of Lightsaber battlepacks is... disturbing. I'm looking far more to playing that than Battlefield.
My experience over the years with these games is it's always best to wait and grab the game on sale with all DLC and patched up.
On release they are almost guaranteed to be a cluster fuck, no matter how many games these guys have released in the past or how many "beta tests" they will do.
It may not be the easiest thing to hold off on a purchase but to save yourself from disappointment it's by far the best solution.

It's good to see they are still supporting this game after the new one is out. I am still playing this on and off, and it is still great fun.

No not really. I am reading the first book right now and to be honest I have to google some of the words because I have no idea what they mean.
English is not my mother language so that may have something to do with it but they do not talk modern every day English in the books.

That dialog is horrible.

The dialog is very similar to what you'd find in the books.

Really? The books use "Yeah" and "Gotcha?"

Huh? I guess it's because my mother language is foreign that I don't see the problem with "Yeah" and "Gotcha", unless it's some king or general that says it. I haven't seen the vid yet.
Am I the only find it kind of out of place when the guards swear and say fuck? I don't think they've cursed like that back in the day, but I might be wrong. Just seem strange

When I've added GTA5 to my cart on Nuuvem the site removed it right away and gave me a message telling me this game is not available in my region (Canada)
It might work for those of you in the US.
I guess GMG is the best way to go. They have GTA5 in their VIP game section for $46.79
Direct 2 Play also have it for $45

You can always put non-Steam shortcuts in Steam, that's nothing new.
Oh I know, I didn't mean it as it's something new, I just meant if the game is cheaper elsewhere you could just add it in as a non steam game.
I know what you mean about the convenience though. I tend to forget about games I got from elsewhere if I have to reinstall the OS.
I ended up buying games on Steam I've already owned from other download places like Gamespot because I forgot about them.

Preload begins April 7th
As far as having it on Steam as far as I know it doesn't matter where you got the game from they are all the same versions, needs to be registered with Rockstars own DRM thing.
Kind of how Ubisoft games work that were purchased from Steam.
On GMG they are saying you can easily add GTA5 to your Steam games libary as a non Steam game anyway.
I haven't bought it yet, still contemplating on getting it.

GMG blog entry regarding where you preorder the game from

I wish someone was still making CRT monitors. Those were the shit. Wish I could get a wide screen CRT monitor that runs 1080p at 100Hz. CRTs beat the shit out of any and all LCDs I have ever seen or will probably ever see, both in image quality and refresh rate.

Plasma?

I have seen Plasma TV's, I even have one at home (however it's latency is shit and its only 720p). I have yet to see a Plasma PC monitor. Do they make those?
They don't even make plasma tvs anymore I doubt any company would make plasma monitors
