I think with all the delay the expectations of the PC version is going to be so high no matter what the game will disappoint.
I hope I am wrong but keep on delaying this game doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy.
This game was released on the PS4 and Xbone a while back, aren't those consoles just like a PC when it comes to porting?

Well, that's only true in that both platforms are x86. But on consoles, you have one set of hardware to develop for and support. With PC, it's a whole new bag of challenges. Drivers and built-in Windows functionality should be able to handle most of it though, but you still have to test in a number of configuration scenarios and fix issues as they present themselves.
Oh I can imagine. I didn't mean to suggest the PC port is just change the text from "press A" to "press enter" in the main menu.
I just thought that with the new consoles porting to the PCs would be quicker/easier.
Anyways I don't mind the delay all that much but I hope the PC version will be worth the wait. As in it will run really well and look amazing.
I am playing through Max Payne 3 again and that game still looks so awesome. Loving all the little details Rockstar put into that game from the blood stains on the wall when you shoot someone to the different death animations of the enemies to the physx stuff when you shoot a curtain or glass etc.
Makes me want to play GTA5 for sure.

Yeah that is why I took a little break too. I don't want to burn myself out, plus I like variety.
I'll come back to it later I am sure but for now I enjoy playing other games.

Is there really someone interested in this that does not already know the story? ;p
I think that is the whole point, to get people who weren't even born at the time this game was big interested.
This is almost like testing the waters to see if there is any money in making Homeworld 3 a reality.
Well at least that is my theory

YES! Free gaming voucher for GTA5=60 bucks worth, I'm game for that

I think you're being slightly optimistic as to how fast this class action lawsuit will come to fruition.

You might get a voucher for GTA6 Half Life 3 though!
Fixed

The GTX 680 still does his job. Trying to be patient.
I am on a GTX 760, other than Total War games and Crysis I don't have any issues with other games yet.
I am very curious how GTA5 would run with my card though

I was looking at buying one but here in Canada the prices are way too high and even after this ram fiasco the prices haven't changed so I'll wait it out.
Maybe I'll buy the 970Ti or whatever they come out next.

Never really understood the point of playing against bots. If you're going to do that, why not just play an actual single-player game? It'll be a better experience in every way.

SP campaigns tend to be linear, scripted experiences, akin to "playing" a movie. Sometimes I just want to play an arena-style game, where I am in charge of the narrative myself:
- grab the Apache
- fly it to the enemy waypoint
- nuke all the enemy soldiers there
- parachute out and capture the waypoint
- defend it against enemy attempts to recapture.
- Game ends, and I can feel satisfied in my accomplishments.
I can do that with bots alone or with my brother without having to deal with all the crap that human beings I don't know throw out: invective, aim cheats, rage quitting, booting you if you kill too many people, etc.

In addition to what Prez and Aero said, this petition to get bots into BF4 sums things up pretty well.
1) They make multiplayer accesible for persons who dont play online (yes, many of these people still exist)
2) They allow a player to practice all of the game modes at any time with a full compliment of combatants.
3) They dont curse, cheat, complain, or leave the match when loosing.
4) They allow for a full game without any lag, slowdown, or dropout.
5) They provide great opponents Vs. teams of humans (once their difficulty is turned up).
6) They cause a game to have infinate replay value.
7) Even if we can only play alone (no Lan) with Bots, it would be a great opportunity to practise all of the vehicles. Online it is very hard to practise new types of vehicles.
Agreed.
I still remember the fun matches I've played in UT with/against bots. Feeling a bit tired tonight, reflexes aren't top notch, no worries lower the bot difficulty and just have some fun for 30 minutes to an hour. Let some steam out at the end of the day.
Feeling lucky? Let's fire up the online MP and see how it goes. Frustrating? No problem back to bot matches.
It was so nice to have options.

Online MP can be fun, but unless you play with friends, it is a total crap shoot.

Hopefully the hud size is going to be adjustable. Looking at the size of it @2:17 is just way too tiny to be any use.

In one of the interviews I watched, they said the UI is going to be resizable because of the 4K monitors that are able to support the game now.
Thanks man that's good to know.
