When I've added GTA5 to my cart on Nuuvem the site removed it right away and gave me a message telling me this game is not available in my region (Canada)
It might work for those of you in the US.
I guess GMG is the best way to go. They have GTA5 in their VIP game section for $46.79
Direct 2 Play also have it for $45

You can always put non-Steam shortcuts in Steam, that's nothing new.
Oh I know, I didn't mean it as it's something new, I just meant if the game is cheaper elsewhere you could just add it in as a non steam game.
I know what you mean about the convenience though. I tend to forget about games I got from elsewhere if I have to reinstall the OS.
I ended up buying games on Steam I've already owned from other download places like Gamespot because I forgot about them.

Preload begins April 7th
As far as having it on Steam as far as I know it doesn't matter where you got the game from they are all the same versions, needs to be registered with Rockstars own DRM thing.
Kind of how Ubisoft games work that were purchased from Steam.
On GMG they are saying you can easily add GTA5 to your Steam games libary as a non Steam game anyway.
I haven't bought it yet, still contemplating on getting it.

GMG blog entry regarding where you preorder the game from

I wish someone was still making CRT monitors. Those were the shit. Wish I could get a wide screen CRT monitor that runs 1080p at 100Hz. CRTs beat the shit out of any and all LCDs I have ever seen or will probably ever see, both in image quality and refresh rate.

Plasma?

I have seen Plasma TV's, I even have one at home (however it's latency is shit and its only 720p). I have yet to see a Plasma PC monitor. Do they make those?
They don't even make plasma tvs anymore I doubt any company would make plasma monitors

Rockstar has historically done a very poor job of PC engine optimization, requiring much higher specs than expected to make up for the deficiencies in the engine.
Max Payne 3 was running fine on my card, so if this is the same engine I am hoping I can prolong that video card upgrade a bit longer

Maybe the bathrooom doesn't need to be redone before summer... Maybe a 970 is better for resale... Yea that's it.
All you need is a good hiding spot for the credit card statements.

I'd love to know what sort of a hardware you'd need to get the kind of details shown in the trailer running at 1080p-60fps.
I doubt my GTX760 will cut it.

And last of all, for those that haven't read the books, I highly recommend them. They are now some of my favorite Medieval Fantasy novels I've read thus far in my life; the author Andrzej Sapkowski really did a pretty good job of taking old fantasy tropes and making up something unique and interesting with them. ALSO, I didn't realize there are at least 2-3 more books in the series that have yet to be translated (those lucky Europeans and Polish!). I can't wait for the "Sword of Destiny", "The Swallow's Tower" and "Lady of The Lake."
Thanks for the heads up.
I did check out the books last night online and read through the preview of the e-book version of the first one. It is really well written. Going to buy it.

I know right? I always skip to the end...credits. There's usually some awesome music playing over the end credits that I dig.
Whatever rocks your boat dude, for me credits doesn't do it but hey I am not here to judge

or a lot of us here have already passed you, kids moved out, wife left and we have tons of free time to play games

The flight model is constantly being tweaked. Some fans don't like the changes introduced in 1.1 and I would be surprised if we don't see further changes before release. That said, I don't have a problem with any of the mechanics and I came from games like Tie Fighter, Wing Commander and Starlancer. Flying straight at your enemies is a terrible strategy - you should be using asteroids for cover and strafing to approach them from the side or behind.

Nope. Just nope. Strafing? I backed a Wing Commander successor not a FPS. There isn't always something to hide behind, nor should I need to. If there is no dogfight there is no space sim. I'm happy you and others enjoy it. Some people enjoy eating grubs too. That knowledge doesn't help me if I'm served grubs at some bizarre dinner party I hope I never go to. If the core gameplay is this bad after all this time in development then I've wasted my money and Roberts has wasted my good faith.

At least he didn't hope you got cancer again.
Not yet
