Okay found this which has several setups. Also, my configuration folder (FORC-FDEV-D-1010) was under

C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products

not in the

C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch

folder
Thanks!
No wonder I couldn't find it.

I've paid over $6,000 to my ISP over the last 10 years and they didn't give me a statue. They don't even give a flying fuck about me.

Good for those that play WoW for over 10 years and still enjoying it. I've played EVE for a few years and got kind of burnt out. I just can't play the same game for that long but everyone is different.

Hi Frontier,

If I'm in a large ship, please stop giving me awesome jobs that pay $170k for transporting 100+ items...to an outpost where I cannot dock. I cannot realize this until I've traveled to that point, or have the insight to check out what the port is before I land. Sorry, but seeing $170k mission makes me click before I think. And then I have no choice to abandon the mission, dump the stolen cargo (totally would trade it in the black market, if I could fucking find one near my trade route), and pay an $80k fine.

Yeah, I'm done with trading "missions".

Your computer software is from 1984 or something.

That fucking blows!
Ticket it. Let them know about it.

I bought a Sidewinder, flew back, sold it got into my other ship and flew it to the new location.
For the most part you won't have more than 2 ships to move, unless if you are a collector or something
Sidewinders are kind of like shuttles in EVE
They should have some very cheap inexpensive shuttles in Elite to help you moving ships though.

Ahh now the bigger picture makes sense. Win 7 is moving into security patch only mode of support, no new features. It seemed odd to do this before Win 10, but now it's obvious.

With no Win 7 support for this stuff, and most people waiting for a major post-8 Windows, that means buy Win 10 if you want it, 'cause you sure ain't buying 8 even though it will have it.
To be hones I don't have any issues with Win10 as it looks interesting and modern from some of the preview stuff I've seen of it. Looks like Microsoft finally figured out that the start button removal was a bad idea.
I will most likely upgrade to 10, what I can't stand is Spencer there with his PCgaming commitment PR speech.
If they haven't done it multiple times in the past already this exact same shit I would probably give them some credit but they pull the exact same prank every single time.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer says they are working towards making Windows 10 "the best operating system we've ever created for gamers on PCs,"

So does that mean it's going to have crappy mouse and keyboard controls and your going to be forced to use a controller? Rolleyes
Yes, mouse and keyboard support will be in with Service Pack 2.
Until than it is touch screen only or your xbox controller to navigate on your desktop.
You can use the on screen keyboard to type, or use your voice via kinect to write e-mails and search on the web.

I usually just go to a nav point or extraction site
Be careful on extraction sites though if it is on the dark side of a planet, I ran into asteroids there and got blown up.

Right but I target everyone even red guys as I am scanning for wanted status.
Many times for whatever reason green cops turn to red, even though I was attacking wanted criminals.
I've had cops shoot at me too for no reason. I've had to supercruise and then turn around to go back and everything resets to normal again.

If the turreted weapon shoots at everyone that I target and it is red that won't be any good.
It would have to be return fire only but even that could get me into trouble

Point Defence Turret does this, maybe?
I think they only work against missiles. I specifically remember being shot between the eyes by a Cobra flying away from me.
The Ai isn't smart enough to fly backwards in this game

Are you saying you arm your transport to the max? That might be viable on a Asp or Clipper, but on a Type 6 you are wasting your money, unless the pirate is a total novice with lousy weapons, you are going to lose.

I think he meant when he flies his unshielded transport ship, it sucks to get interdicted in open. I fully support not having guns to increase your jump distance, but flying without shields is crazy because of this reason.
Yeah no I explained I meant flying 2 separate ships.
In short
Transport ship - solo mode
Cobra fully armed - come at me bro mode

I didn't like the Cobra switching to it from the fully upgraded Viper. The way I had my Viper setup I was more efficient killing things. With that said you kind of cap out with your weapons after a certain point. When I wanted to put bigger guns on the ship it just triggered the oxygen sensors so I had 5 minutes to kill something before suffocate. That was no fun.

So I switched to the Cobra and it seemed like a lot weaker ship that cost a lot more than the Viper, however ones I dumped enough money into upgrades, it is definitely a better and stronger ship to use. Not to mention more slots to fit various things like interdictor or kill warrant scanner etc. I can fit all sorts of weapons onto it too without worrying about overloading the ship systems and triggering the oxygen sensors again.

Did any of you guys use the utility port on the ships?
All I am seeing that fits to utility ports are turrets that protect you from missiles which is the least of my worries.
Is there anything I can fit on there that shoots backwards when I am turning my back to the enemy?
The Ai seem to have that on their ship but I am not sure what that is in the market.
Also what kind of armor plate do you have on your ship? I just use the Military Grade as it seems to give protection against all damage type

This and the other Cities game should sort out their naming because it's fucking confusing!

Yeah, I know. I believe this is the one from the guys who made the pretty shitty Cities XL series (you know, that series that uses one CPU core and thus every city above a certain size chugs like crazy, no matter the fact you have 16 fucking Xeon cores in your rig), and thus should probably be ignored.

Cities: Skylines is the one that offers cities that dwarf SimCity 4 and looks actually promising.

But I may be confusing the two...
No I am pretty sure you are right.
I am just not sure how they managed to make 2 completely separate games with so similar names.
I think the other one is done by the Cities in Motion people.
I own the previous XL game and it sucks balls. Try to connect roads and stuff. Just too glitchy.
Looks great on videos but that's about it.

Words are cheap and someone might believe them.
Yeah I guess they've been doing this PC gaming commitment speech for 10 years why stop now.
We'll probably get a desktop avatar of the xbox version kind of like that paperclip thing they've had in office. We can dress it and stuff. It will give you useful tips like "did you know updating your graphics card driver can improve your frame rate in games"
That will be the PCgaming commitment with the new OS.
Maybe they will do a big push to support facebook games too with improved graphics for flash titles since hardcore gamerz are on the xbox anyways

The graphics weren't what you promised.
Wasn't there a patch or hack or whatever that made the game look similar to what they've showed on E3
I didn't get this game after seeing the constant drop in details as the game got closer to release.
The initial gameplay footage looked good but every trailer after that kind of looked like a 360 game

We shall see come next Wednesday if this is actually true. I like Windows 10, but I'm skeptical of any efforts to make it the best gaming OS because of their past failed efforts. I can understand why it would be a difficult position to be in when any improvements for gaming on their OS could potentially impact sales of their console.
So why bother yapping about it than?
Everyone knows they are committed to their console as they make a ton more money with it than anything to do with PC gaming.
Why bother yapping off about PCgaming if they continue not do a single thing about it?
Do they really think people that stupid or forgiving or ?
I don't understand what is there to gain for them by stating stupid shit like this about support for pc gamers.
Isn't their prime customers and bread and butter when it comes to new OS releases are the business users anyways? I don't see any pcgamer go out to buy a new OS because "microsoft is commited to pc gaming"
