Finished downloading the patch and then ...

"The Rockstar Update service is unavailable. Please try again."

Having to download the 353 meg patch all over again...maybe it's in a folder some where
Yup, had to do that with the 50Meg patch too. Great job R*

Really?
Good to know.
My comment was regarding online key stores

Yep. It just depends on the store and location as to whether or not they get any cards, or only limited numbers of them. But good enough, I've been up 28 hours now so stuff has started not making sense. :p On the upside when I wake up I'll have a whole 12 hours of GTAV to enjoy.
So by Steam card you mean you still have to download the game from Steam or the DVD install registers with Steam?
If there are no DVDs than might as well just get the game from Steam and save the taxes

The one and only place you can get a Steam key for this game is from Steam directly.
Retail store keys are steam. A buddy of mine works for walmart here in Canada and it's all GTA V steam key cards.

For MP the Steam version uses the Rockstar client anyways so I think the friends lists are going to be on the Rockstar side of things not on Steam. That way the Steam and non Steam versions won't be separated.

For sure but I still like all my games in Steam that way I don't forget they exist, I never pay attention to Origin and Uplay is a pile of dung

I see some reasonable Steam copies ($45-55) on forums like SAMart and etc so if reviews are good about the port tomorrow I'll grab one.
Oh I know what you mean and trust me I try to keep all my games on Steam too but I do make an exception every now and then.
Be careful with Steam codes from other regions though. Steam games are region locked.

"Drink with me you cocksucker!" Lol! Omfg! That's so meeting my brother at a bar after he's already had a few. Heh, I do wish they'd find different curses than what we use for swearing as that always ruins my suspension of disbelief. Frack, smeg, whatever, just not fuck.
Yeah that is one thing I wish they'd change. The modern day cursing is really out of place.
Otherwise I am getting a new video card next week and Witcher 3 is included with it.

I don't know about that. I have so many other games I have no time to play them all, why would I try and replay the same one for so many times and speed run it.
Seems like a lot of time wasting while you could be having fun playing games.
Maybe this is fun for some people it would be just torture for me

HR came to Steam, so I'm not sure why they're acting as if this is some miraculous new thing?
Wasn't there some recent Ubisoft titles that were not on Steam or delisted or something?

A few including Far Cry 4 were removed from Steam for a few days. They soon returned for everyone except UK customers, who couldn't buy FC4 there for another month for some reason.
For some reason I thought this was a Ubisoft game.
