Why don't you try this little game called Rome Total War. Or what about the HomeWorld series? I have to agree with Venomhed on that. TotalWar is awesome and refreshing. Goes to show that smart developers can still innovate in a stagnant genera. Rise of Nations reminds me of evey other RTS out there, sure its fun for a day or 2 but then you yawn and go play TW for some real strat.

I fell asleep on all the quests. They were all the same. Go along a path, kill everything, get to end, be forced to watch terrible cut scene because someone doesn't click skip, get to next town, buy skills, rinse repeat. Move your pacman around and eat some pellets while avoiding ghosts, eat a power pill and go eat the ghosts,rinse repeat. Move you marine around hell killing demons with a plasma gun occationally fighting bosses,rinse repeat. Get up in the morning, get dressed,shit, shower, shave eat breakfast, go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch TV, go to bed, try to hump wife, wack off to the Sears catalog, go to sleep,rinse repeat.

I for one think this is a step in the right direction! I would like to let my 6 year old go to the video game store by himeself and be able to come back with a game that does not train him to be a killer! I'm looking forward to the day where violence in videogames will be as extinct as democrates!
