NOLF2 isn't that fun, i haven't tried MP but the SP is just plain boring. Yea the levels look good, but its the same thing over and over again.... the AI gets boring after the 2nd map. Game gets pretty jittery when more than 3-4 enemies are on screen, my system should run this game quite well, i think its the engine.

oh well

NOLF would not be as remembered if it came out before HL.

Half Life was pure gold as far as SP goes, it was the last SP game i actually enjoyed. I remember paying $49.99 at walmart for HL with the intention of returning it after i had copied the serial number, mind you this was more than a year after its release.... i had downloaded the demo and after beating it i just had to buy it. Anyway, after playing the first week i knew i wouldn't be returning the game, i had to 'tip' the author, and i hadn't even played MP yet....

My first MP experience was great, i hadn't found the crossbow in the SP game yet but it was the first weapon i found when joining the game. It was awesome, i called my buddy that had been playing SP with me the night before to tell him about it and he came over immediatly (he still doesn't have a computer, 3 years later!)

I agree the alien levels were a let down, but it didn't ruin the game experience, i vividly remember actually jumping in my chair a couple times... those damn snarks (lights off while playing was a must btw).

I sure as hell got my $50 worth out of HL and i can't wait for a sequal. I could care less about TFC2, i just want to know when we are gonna see HL2.

no reason to rush this out.... christmas is FAR away, they just gave us the demo.... what would be the need to rush it out the door and axe features that were heavily ADVERTISED... the electrical fields are shown on the front page of the official site.

i just checked out the ut2003 offical forums and they sure did axe alot of planned features:

They take out swimmable water.
Change December drastically.
Change the Awsome ion cannon effect.
Took out Lavagiant 2.
Took out Electric Fields.
took away Female Announcer.
Now no Rain.

The electronic fields were heavily p1mped in many videos and used as graphics on many sites. It seems quite stupid to take this feature out.

any ideas?

the game is great, runs VERY smooth

a little too fast for my taste, but with the hopefully great AI i will enjoy bot matches at 85-90% gameplay speed. UT was GREAT at 90% but this feels a little faster.

Graphics on full and the game runs smooth. At least 40fps+ average. (FULL AA and AF).

can you read the text in game? with AA on i can't read the text.

my ti 4600 isn't far from your 9700 and my cpu is twice as fast. i think you are lying about smooth, my game runs smooth to... in 10-20 second incraments.

well im diappointed, LAG LAG and more LAG

single player is zero FUN , MP is hardly playable.

ti4600 , 1.5 tbird , 512 ram = 20 FPS when a tank or plane is near

can't even do a 180 look around with out it pausing 2-3 times.
