I was just about to buy Rogue Legacy on Humble Bundle at 75% off, but I believe I'll go for the higher discount on Steam instead.

The original game had a great first hour, and then proceeded to go nowhere for the next six.

Gone Gold announcements had a lot more charm back in the old days before games had their release dates set in stone 6 - 12 months earlier.

Corporations back away from stupid public statements made by an employee, news at 11.

Also, people have sex, news at 11.

This non-story just keeps taking up more and more space on bluesnews, ridiculous.

Blues is a news aggregate fueled partially by user submissions (I don't know what proportion though). If people keep pointing these things out to him, he will keep posting them. Also, for better or worse, gamergate generates a lot of interest on this site, and views pay the bills.

Also, Blue's is often mentioned as a trusted gaming news site for people who want an alternative to Kotaku, RPS, Polygon, etc.

What's funny about that Adobe story is that someone who writes for the Ars Technica "liked" the pro-bullying tweets made by that Gawker idiot. And when someone in the comments section brought that up, no one responded.

Many are claiming Sam Biddle's comments were sarcastic and taken out of context. Well, if true, that's why you don't make unclear, context-free comments with only 144 characters. It's the same weak excuse that jackass made after threatening Steam.

Strange how that logic only applies to them and not to those they're attacking.

I've read reports that this game is pretty much just a re-skin of last year's edition.

Glad to hear she's apparently leaving of her own volition and not because of gamergate or harassment.

Haha. Yeah it's strange how when you actually make games and do your job instead of trolling and belittling people on Twitter, you get harassed less.

Are you saying that Professional Victim *isn't* a solid career choice?

Amusing ego, last time I checked she wasn't a game maker and isn't in a position to really do anything meaningful other than inflame a situation that would have died out already after Quinn stopped trending.

And yet publishers have her "consulting" on games like Mirror's Edge 2.

I'm sure it's a nice editorial, but I won't read it. At least not on Polygon's site.

One thing I did find amusing is how fast the Marine runs. I think he could outpace the Quake guy.

You say that like its a bad thing...

Also really? This is the first game you played with acceleration?? That's kind of weird, by this time the Voodoo 3 was ruling supreme and Nvidia's TNT cards were quickly catching up, also Unreal was pretty much king of graphics and most games supported Glide or OpenGL. DirectX kind of sucked back then....

My first 3D card was a Voodoo2 back in.....1997, not sure when, probably late. I know the very first game I played it with was Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. Back then you were hot **** if you had a Voodoo card. Gaming elite.

I remember going to Software etc. and just bragging about it to all the other store regulars, who were all hardcore PC gamers. Boy, those were the days.

Dark Forces II was the first game I played with 3D acceleration too, after months and months of playing it in software mode. I was blown away by how good it looked and how fast it ran.

I wasn't implying that it was a bad thing. Just that compared to lots of newer shooters, the Marine in AvP is *really* fast.

"How dare he put his own world-view and issues in the way of the review? But thatís exactly what he should be doing."

No, it isn't.

Too many reviewers are using reviews as soapboxes instead of just presenting the facts and letting readers make up their own minds: http://tinyurl.com/l8puses

This was one of the first games I played with 3D acceleration. Good times.

I did try replaying the game a couple of years ago, and it hasn't aged very well. The complete lack of a story makes it hard to care about what's going on.

One thing I did find amusing is how fast the Marine runs. I think he could outpace the Quake guy.

He is wrong. Gamergate never was about misogyny. It's about lying colluding pseudojornalists. The fact that zoe is a despicable human being just adds to the sewer that gaming "journalism" is.

Why is she despicable?

Because she fucked her way to the top and uses her SJW game journalist buddies and indie game cronies to silence and screw with people who are critical of her.

Check out the Encyclopedia Dramatica article about her. It's quite illuminating (and very NSFW).
