Window transparency has been a feature of Windows since Windows 2000, it's just that hardly anyone uses it.

Anyone else get annoyed when people still think the only benefit to the 64 bit version is the increased address space available to a process?

Well if you have SP2 you can easily disable the WGA browser addon and gain access as normal. There are also other workarounds to WGA like executing
javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck=’all’)
in the address bar. How's that for retarded?

A quick program, the x position changes constantly in the background while the four boxes refresh to the current position every 30th, 60th, 90th and in realtime. The combo box lets you change the background update speed. Yes it takes 100% CPU but the thread doing that is low priority.

Pit Bulls have a very tainted public image, and for obvious reasons. However, attacking humans is not a trait of the various breeds. They are strong, loyal, dog aggressive, but actually very good with people. The AKC recommends them as good with children. I'm not sure if the statistics are available, but I'm betting that the vast majority of serious attacks on humans were from trained fighting dogs, or dogs trained specifically to be violent toward strangers. Bad owners make for bad dogs.

I don't like punishing someone, or in this case some dog, because of what its breed has done, instead of what itself has done. Especially since this ban simply uses appearance as the deciding factor on whether the dog is illegal. What if someone has a terrier mutt that looks too "bullish" and now it can be taken away and killed?

The sudden thing I was referring to was that the ban was nullified by the legislature and then recently reinstated because of a court decision. An average of three killed every day for three months straight sounds like a recent crack down and not indicative of something that has existed for 16 years.

6. Denver dog ban Jul 21, 2005, 12:13 Razor6

Wow! Banning a population of dogs based on how they look and not whether they pose a danger, then sentencing them to death or exile (if shelter can be found). It doesn't seem like something that can be legal. Your pet, one day everything is fine, and the next day your dog is off to be killed. Lots of black men look like they could be dangerous, certainly crime statistics support this idea. Maybe black men should be carted off to prison because of what they might do. Nothing wrong with that, right?

A Max Payne movie makes me think of the Punisher movie. Do we really want/need a Max Payne movie?

Why was it removed when they had it working a year before its release?

The argument comes from falsified and misleading information being used in obtaining the UN support.

8. From germany eh? Jun 22, 2005, 19:33 Razor6

How many people trust such a study from Germany where, "Instead of red blood coming out of a wound, green blood is shown, implying that aliens are being killed and not humans; or gears and springs are shown coming out of the wound, implying that the victims are robots."

Is censorship more lax now?

I don't subscribe to all the DS bashing but looking at this picture I couldn't help but think most people would agree with its message.

I don't think creating a mod from scratch, made to look and play like another game, is illegal. Using the same name could be an issue but GT doesn't own the ideas and concepts used in Wolf3D or Doom. It sounds like a case of hollow threats, which most seem to abide by.

Yeah really! But speaking of 8bit, that side scrolling motorcycle game for the NES was fun. You could build your own tracks!
