Oh Lordy. After like 2 hours when the story for Ren & Stimpy finally loaded up (I have cable, I swear), and the creator was talking about then ew episodes and commercials, I thought I was going to die laughing. I can't imagine what will happen when they actually air it. Maybe my head will explode.

Smack me around and call me surprised. The day is coming to an end and no one has made a comment on a UT2003 post. Not that it's incredibly exciting, but just thought I'd mention it.

If you're talking about the behemoth that you could hear stomping around from a mile out, had horns, shot rockets, and caused half America to piss their pants the first time they saw him, that would be the Cyberdemon.

as if you actually cared.
Those addicted to the game in 93-95 are atleast mid-late 20's or early 30's.
Just thought I'd speak up as an early 20s life form who's first game on his dad's new Pentium 120 was Doom (wasn't his choice, came as shareware). I'm 21, and I'd have to say I'm probably one of the last ones to be brought up on DooM. Quake quickly took over my life the next year, and I haven't been the same since.

At the title screen, try "up down up down left right left right a b a b select start". When you hear the ding, you're there.
After all these years...been a long fucking time since I've heard that. Isn't that the universal Konami code?

Resident Evil? Granted I never played the game, so I don't know what was there and what wasn't, but just as a movie, it seemed good. In fact, my bro, who's 8 years older, has a lot finer taste in movies, and has played the game thought it was good. Of course that means nothing to you people and no opinions will ever be swayed on a message board.
Doom could work. As long as they don't make it too much like the game. Did anyone read the books? Considering they were based off a single concept game, they were rather interesting.
Besides, Quake: The Movie could work too. I should know, I'm writing the treatment.

I will say however that using just the broad term "THX Certified" can be misleading to those who think that it is somehow the same as the certification that a movie theatre auditorium goes through.
You're right. But THX certification should be taken seriously. Lucas isn't going to slap his name on just any piece of equipment. The day he starts doing that is the day he's done.

Re: McDonalds helped me... |

I'm starting to feel like Jared Fogel...
Anyway, before last year, my basic meal when I would go to McDonalds would be a Double Quarter Pounder, or a Big Mac. Realizing the error in my ways, I switched my diet. Working where I work, McDonald's is the closest and cheapest place to go. I started eating the Spicy Chicken sandwich. First two at a time, or with fries. Then I went down to one. But the bulk of the fat was lost when I was still eating two. Just by making one change in my regular habbits (and what a tasty change it was) I lost 55 pounds, from 245 to 190.
Fast food places are not bad places to eat, it's just what you order. For instance, you want low-fat at McDonalds, they have salads and the Grilled Chicken sandwich, which, without mayo, has like 5 grams of fat. I have no clue how much the spicy has, but it has to be a lot less.
I feel sorry for your friend, it's sad that most weight stories involving fast food places are bad.
BTW, I still proudly scarf down steaks and burgers, but half as frequently as I used to. </soap box seminar>

I find it mildy ironic. All these kids getting fat on McDonalds, when the spicy chicken sandwich helped me lose 55 pounds.

Oh wow, I decided to go into the Star Craft section on Blizzard, and all of the sudden remembered what 56k was like (having cable now).
Star Craft 2 if only the world was perfect Star Craft: Renegade for the love of...learn from Westwood's mistakes Star Craft: Renegade X-Box great, take one of the best game genres (FPS) and make it into the worst format for it (console).

while I haven't played Rocket Arena in a while, those guys are so freakishly good, you'd think they were cheating, but I don't think there's very many (cheaters).
