Yuzzem, don't bother upgrading from a 9700 Pro to a 9800XT, it wouldn't be a big enough jump to justify 500 bucks (or even 400 if/when the price drops, though if you look hard enough, you could get it for about 435...but I digress).
Just wait for the next 2 generations...and by then, the next gen (higher than 9800XT) will be fairly cheap. But who knows how long that will take.

DAMMIT!! Do some research EA, NOS is a company (stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems), the gas is nitrous oxide (or just nitrous, juice, giggle gas, go-go juice, spray, etc., NOT NOS).
Grrrrrr.
This is the way a car nut vents.

How do you get to see how many exp pack kills per game you get? I'd love to be able to track my stats.
It depends on what server you're playing on. I play on Lan Camp ( http://www.lancamp.com ), and they sometimes have server stats running...though not at the moment.

Yeah...if you run straight at a tank firing your little pea-shooter, you're going down REAL fast...But I can't tell you how many tank/armor kills I have to my name via exp packs. On servers that run stats, on the "most used weapon" list, exp packs are usually listed 3rd or 4th for me. I probably have 3-4 exp pack kills PER GAME. I piss off a lot of tank commanders.
DC revamped EVERYTHING. As of the current release, there is nothing from the original, aside from the maps, which are fun no matter what mod you're playing.

See, that's what I'm talking about. It was Desert Combat that kept BF going strong, NOT Eve of Distruction. I about blew a headgasket when I read PC Gamer lauding EoD as being the best BF mod...in fact, they just awarded it Mod of the Year! Clearly, they are mislead.

...the update that makes DC not suck?
Really, I want to know! Tell me!
Um, if ever DC could POSSIBLY suck, the level of non-suckiness presented by this patch would decrease its suckiness level so much that it would, in fact, not suck.
Does that answer your question?
Seriously, I'm lovin this patch. Urban Siege is AMAZING, Operation Bragg is the first night map with air craft, and is pulled off beautifully. Gonna make for some crazy matches, and sadly, probably some increased friendly fire. And the oil rig level? I haven't played on a map with so many nooks, crannies, secret passages, and detail in a LONG time. Easy to get lost, but a master of the level will have an even easier time winning.

Downloading right now.
Geez, it boggles my mind how many times this has been downloaded already. Over 250,000 times just today from fileplanet. And I was so happy when my video got downloaded over 2000 times in a week!

Yeah, unfortunately, there's no slow moving levels with billions of bobombs to bounce off of. I tried to make everything as stylish as possible, narrowly missing enemies, extreme low altitude flying, and of course timing the music with the video, which is...what I do. lol

As the author of this little video, I'd like to point out that it is not the same speed run of Super Mario Brothers 3, but of Super Mario WORLD.
I had the idea of doing the video for quite a while, but it wasn't until that dude did his video of Super Mario Brothers 3 did I actually get around to doing it. I hope everyone likes it. I gave it a soundtrack too, so you're not bored to death by the game sounds.
Oh, and thank YOU, Blue.

Alak, just so you're aware, that Prelude was powered by a paltry 2.2L 4 banger. A little more than a 1/3 of your displacement.
And yes, Tourque gets you to horsepower. Horsepower gets you to speed. Speed gets you to victory. And V8's have more lower end Tourque than any I4 or V6. That's why it can be very difficult for low displacement cars to compete on the drag strip. But take it to a road course, autox, or rally course, and it's a completely different story. In rally you RARELY find anything over 4 cylinders.
Even on the drag strip, though, NEVER underestimate any car until you've seen it run. You may be sitting next to a twin-engine Tiburon that makes 300+ hp from each engine, and runs 11s. It's out there.

Just got finished playing the demo.
Having been a big fan of some of the previous NFS titles (NFS HP2 being a most notable and nasty piece of shit exception), I had some expectations from this game. I knew before I downloaded it that there would be no damage model, no replays, and the sort of cars that would be in it. The first 2 issues upset me. But seeing as how I drive an Acura Integra GS-R, the latter issue did not upset me.
What did I think of the game? Not bad. A little arcadish, but that's basically what I was expecting. More realistic than HP2, thank God, but not as realistic as PU.
Now, I'm seeing the term ricer being thrown around here quite a bit. The fact is, most of you don't even realize the definition...
ri-cer (n): a vehicle, generally of Asian origin, but not exclusively, that has various parts attached to it in an effort to make it more "attractive", look "faster," or sound different. These "modifications" do very little if nothing to improve the actual performance of the car, and in some cases, decrease it.
Yes, many Japanese cars come off the assembly line with performance that can't match V8 muscle cars...and THEY SHOULDN'T, cause they have half the cylinders and a third of the displacement. However, when one can modify those cars to be able to outperform those muscle cars, it's a real accomplishment. THE VERY DEFINITION OF SLEEPER. So you're driving your Camaro, and a black Integra pulls up next to you. The light turns green, you take off, the Integra falls behind. You hit 5500 and shift. All of the sudden the Integra is at your door and passing.
But yes, I do have a deep love for muscle cars too. Nothing quite like a Charger or SS pounding so much torque into the pavement it pops a wheel stand. That's a thing of beauty as well.
Oh, I should also mention this. The current pushrod prostock 1/4 record is 6.65 seconds (or there about). The current sport compact pro rearwheel drive 1/4 record is 6.76 seconds. Little more than a 1/10 of a second seperates a "ricer" from a speed record that's been in the pushrod's territory since the sport was invented.
Gives you something to think about...

VERY much so counts. Sure, you've heard the story before, but this time, you have a handle on where the baddies are, and can A) get much more stylistic with your executions, and B) not be as frustrated by having to reload the game so much.
I don't know how many hours total it took me, but I was done with it over the course of about 5-6 days. Done with the first time through that is. Still have all the modes to go through.
