In fact, when I was watching this vid I thought the combat almost looked like a JRPG where a guy steps forward makes an attack and then steps back in line. But I think that will change when people are actually playing the game. At least I hope. |

Anyway, one of the most infamous accounts of Turbine F'ing over gamers is when they sold an expansion pack for one of their older MMO's, then shut the game down shortly afterwards.
What game was that? Sounds like something I'd like to read about. |

Celestial Powerset, power of the Seraphim, fury of the Nephilim in a battle against evil, Beware the Zombie Apocalypse, you shall return as one of the undead horde, bound to fight in Takofanes’ name, ravenous werewolf packs, but be careful lest you get bitten and infected with their dark magic, Stand against undead heroes, free their souls from Takofanes’ necromancy, Challenge Takofanes to drive him from our land, but beware – you must fight the dark sorcerers who serve him before you have any chance of facing the Undying Lord. So this IS a superhero game and not a fantasy game, right? |

"So why is everyone just letting it happen?"
You do know what they are doing is perfectly legal. It's part of going Chapter 11. It's lame but there's no "letting it happen". It's just part of the process. |

So you'd break your console and get it repaired, to avoid it breaking and you having to get it repaired? That doesn't make much sense to me. Hear me out. Like you said the problem apparently is coming from overheating. Now my old PS1 had a heat problem and when a CGI cutscene would play heat would cause the movies to stutter and skip until I flipped the system upside down. If I could have sent the thing into Sony and got a better one I would have. With my 360 I've had a couple of lockups over the the year that I've always thought might be heat related but no red lights of doom. So yeah if I thought I could do it I would consider forcing the red lights and getting a 100% working system.

$1 billion to MS is pocket change. Dude, one billion dollars isn't pocket change to any company even Microsoft. That's just a ridiculous thing to say.
So is this a design flaw. I mean does my 360 have a flaw that just hasn't manifested yet. Makes me wonder if you can force the three lights to happen so you can get it repaired just in case.

"I want off the reservation but oh my girlfriend is proud of her heritage and through this whole process I'll become aware of my heritage too" story is pretty cliche. Please name some other sources that use this story.

Like GW? |

I've been hearing that it's a lot like GW as well. All instances. The big difference is GW doesn't have a monthly fee and DDO will. They really might wanna move to a different model if they expect this game to have a chance.

"StarShatter is available for digital download" Digital Download? What is this strange new download of the future? Do I have to have a Electrothought Transducer to use it?

I really enjoyed the SoT so I'm totally excited about this. Personally I loved the combat system. I liked how you could easily attack at any direction to fight off being surrounded. And only once that I can recall did I have a camera issue.

CoH doesn't have an economy or a crafting system or a faction system like other MMORPGs. So why does it cost the same as other MMORPGs when it doesn't have a big database to manage. I'd say it has about half the features so it should be half the price.
