and if the price is only $299 why the hell not just get the X-Box 360?
Because "only" $299 is still a lot of money to spend
What I want to know is can you use a mouse and/or keyboard with it?
I do believe there are actual USB ports on the 360, so it could be assumed you could.

Damn, I think you're screwed to even run Prey. lol...nice rig.
shit, Gordon Lui's movies from the 70s were 10x better than tarantino's garbage
Um, exaggerating the classics, aren't we? I think you're kind of missing the point on Tarrantino's work. The 70's and 80's were the golden years of HK cinema, Gordon Lui's work included, and they weren't the greatest productions.
if you want to see a good kung fu flick, watch some hong kong Jet Li movies
He's pretty good when he's not a) acting in an American film alongside a crappy rap artist and b) when he's not playing a hitman. Triad roles just don't work for Jet.

They have cartoons with aliens raping women.
Yeah...Japan's a strange country. I mean, they have Domokun...
But yeah...most of their prefecture's laws don't allow for minors to buy pornography, but they're definitely a lot more open with it than Norh America. Shit, in Europe, we just don't give a shit.

best thing about this year's E3..no DOOM 3 and no HL2 sucking the life out of the entire event.
Yeah, this year's event kind of brought a wave of nostalgia over me. Reminded me of the E3's back in '98-2000.

I hope the storyline turns out a little more involving than this. I mean, Operation Just Cause was one of those fun little wars in the 80's that took Manuel Noriega down from power in Panama. Thus the name and the description of the main character, apparently.
Just seems like the world's seen enough Bond types.

Especially since a lot of us are PC gamers, and would shell out nearly that much on a new graphics card alone.
You more or less answered your own question there. Just about everyone who visits this site, and especially those that reply on the boards, are more serious about gaming than the average bloke. But consoles have always been and will always be, first and foremost, a mass consumer product. Aimed at that market, there's no reason for the console to be priced at $500. Didn't 3DO teach us this?

Not sure where I read this, but apparently when the 360 is released, they will release a re-made Halo 2 with updated graphics and more content.
It's been called Halo 2.5 for awhile. Rumor is that Ninja Gaiden is also being ported over as "Ninja Gaiden Black" or some such. Not sure if that's an actual remake though.
Btw, Parallax, the Guild Wars pre-order edition comes with an extra item. There have been a few other games that did this, but I can't be bothered to try to find which ones they were. Several of the MMORPGS have done it, I believe.
Creston, Paralax, neither of you are that new to gaming, I'm sure. This has been done for a loooong time.
Well, I think I'll go play some Deus Ex II. Oh wait, no I won't. I didn't buy it. Because it was weak, and a lame letdown of a sequel to one of the best games in history. And co-developed for X-Box. And then the company was shut down after trying to do it with a second beloved PC title. Whaddya know.
If you didn't play it, then how do you know it was bad? Because IGN : :-smirk-: : or Gamespot said so? The destruction of the DX franchise was hardly due to the Xbox. Now you're just sounding like an ass.
DivX was horribly marketed.
DivX never had solid chance to begin with.
I'm well aware of life in this century, it still blows donkeys though and should be fought against
You must have really hated the 80's.

I'm not quite sure where they get the idea time travel and future levels were bad in the first one. I think if the overall game had been better it wouldn't have been that rejected. There's been more contrived storylines in games before this, but they didn't play nearly as bad.

The Shit. The portable 'Cube would be just that if it were technically feasible. I say feasible, not possible. Aside from the weird control configuration, it would require the aide of a nuke reactor to run, at the same time releasing the same amount of heat.
Cool concept though.

Right now it still does, yes. Next year, it's not going to look at all great anymore. Especially not once the new consoles hit the market.
Bleh, I'm not concerned about the console side of things. If the game is fun, then graphically it can still be adequate.
It doesn't seem that ambitious to me really. It's almost like taking GTA:SA making it bigger, forcing a FPP and giving it a better AI and giving it a change of setting. GTA:SA worked fine, why not STALKER?
Um, I'd like to think the storyline behind STALKER is a fair bit more original than GTA: SA, for starters. GTA:SA impressed me with its size and amount of replayability, but most of it just wasn't that fun. It seemed rather bland to work your ass off to go on dates and get laid. Shit, I can do that in real life.
According to this site, Deus Ex sold approx. 500,000 copies. Based on this information, i'd consider this the 'fair share' i mentioned in an earlier post.
I was thinking it had to have sold a few more copies than just 98,000. I mean, the sales apparently warranted a sequel to it.

They made a sequel to a game about parking? What?
LOL. Hardly!
The first game was fun. They've been talking about making this sequel forever it seemed. 'Tis cool to see it being developed. At least the first game was pretty solid.

They should have gone back and played Deus Ex and remembered what a good game was like.
Funny, I don't remember an affiliation between Deus Ex and Snowlind...
Given the main split was quite awhile ago, and they're two totally different games....

Dvorak's kind of outlasting his time, don't you think? I used to be vaguely interested in watching his ideas on television, but it seems he's become kind of outdated and even a little rhetorical in a lot of his views.

I don't care what console it's released on. Perfect Dark Zero needs to be developed and released. Of course whether or not it's terrible is another question. I hate to see Rare under the MS umbrella, but shit, at least it will get good treatment on a good console.

Yeah...the 'ole POTUS acronym isn't used much in the general world...then again I didn't see "People's Republic of China" being used as the proper name for China either...

I've no doubt the game will be neat and fun, judging by the screenshots it looks pretty cool. But this isn't Prey.
The Prey property was licensed and is being developed by Human Head. Therefor, this is indeed Prey and should see the actual light of day.
Does this make sense? Why on earth would a developer license TWO current gen engines? I can't imagine even Broussard and Miller being SUCH idiots.
Did Take 2 or 3d Realms license the engine? If it were Take 2, that's probably a pure business decision that doesn't necessarily involve 3d Realms.
It still seems as bogus to me as it ever did.
April 1st is long past, dude.

I actually liked Contracts and thought it was a novel way to tell the story. Granted, it wasn't the most original game, what with a lot of recreation of missions from the previous two games, but what the hell? It was fun and definitely a little over the top in violence. But the weapons felt solid.
