kobalt, what are you talking about? "I never said I knew nothing of the game, or that it was shitty" well, from reading your comments everyone would think you said exactly that. Here; "why Uwe Boll keeps picking shitty and obscure games to make movies out of?"
So to the average reader it would look like you are saying alone in the dark is both shitty and that you knew nothing of the game, hence obscure...

Think about how Soldier Of Fortune 3 will look if it used one!
The chunks of brain and blood would be spectacular!

Yah, what happened to EB? It used to be an ok place. I just went in one for the first time in a few years and it looked so sloppy as Bluesreader said. I mean it looked almost like a flee market stall or something, crummy metal racks and all.

well, if they make a game that has enough intrest then the fans would.
I mean look at battlefield 2, tons of people are paying hundreds of dollars to ea for the so that they can admin on a server.

TangledThorns: maybe your reading comprehension needs to be improved?
Too late for no child left behind? because I think you were.
His statement was conditional, if a person blindly follows the conservative line (ie fox news viewer) that person should watch outfoxed, he didn't say anything else about other people watching it or rewatching it.

BUT thats not what the courts did. did you even read the part on blue in the yellow? "-specifically, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act--disallows players from altering Blizzard games to link with servers other than the company's official Battle.net site." thats what they used. The law that was written by the software/media companies.
Even if BnetD used magic to make sure that only legitimate cdkeys were in use, they still would be out of luck in the USA. in that case non-infringing=100 percent, but they would still be out of luck.

and MMORPGHarbingerOfDeath the thing is that bnetd and related programs are LEGAL in just about every other country but the USA. so I think that tells you something else as well.
USA is funny, gun manufactures can make a gun that only requires a stronger spring and about 1 minute of modifcation to make it fully automatic, and that is AOK because there is no way a the gun companies are responsible for what happens after it is sold. But it is totally against the law to write a program that can be used to play a game by legitimate users and unauthorized users.

well, the good news is its only against the law in the USA. This is because the USA laws are bought and paid for by corporate interests.
People are still developing bnetd, they just dont live in the USA anymore.

thats why taxes on gas is a good thing. The government can give breaks to the essential things like trucking as you said, but at the same time still have extra money to spend on incentives for alternative fuel vehicals or whatever.

Its probably more for places that are not north america. Many other countries have much better internet hookups. If you had a direct fiber optic for the same price we pay then this wouldnt be a big deal would it? then downloading this would take like what? an hour or so?
