If thats valves idea of a great game someone should tell him about movies! There 100% of your final work gets to be seen by the consumer!
Or maybe they should get a new catch phrase! Valve: Making games that people only want to play once!

I heard that his supply of films was going to dry up soon because of a recent change in germans tax code.
Previously I think if you were a german who was making alot of money on stocks or whatever (and so would have to pay tons of income tax) and invested you invested in Uwe Boll and then the movie tanked you could write off several times the ammount you invested against the taxes you would owe, so you would end up coming out ahead. It was to promote german movies/directors.

Fantaz did you even play SS 2? "They do not have character design options that allow the player to play the type of character that they want to play." SS 2 had classes, that WERE diferent. and Deus Ex also had character progression, you could be ultimate sniper or ultimate ninja sword assassin. Just because you cant be a hobit or a gay elf doesn't mean that there wasn't selection. Deus Ex had npcs and limited mission selections too. And your choices changed the what happened.
You seem too hung up on dungeons & dragons.

but if you dont have a super tv, you wont be missing anything when all it takes is one person on the internet to down sample it to fit on a regular dvd.

people bitching about having to monitor "every piece of video game..ect":
What The Fuck? Do you just hand out hundreds to your stupid kids? Last time I checked these games were all atleast $50 so how many games are they going to be buying for themselves? The problem is lazy parnets with spoiled children. They dont need a tv/console in their own locked room if thats a problem.

well, I thought removing the demo was a weird move, but what if more people then we expect react like Semantics? Then removing it actually makes sense...

I think beamer must be slow or something... that other guy made perfect sense. "TF2....wow, I'd actually forgotten about that. I guess something needs to take the place of Diakatana.."
TF2 has taken forever and there was tons of hype about it... several years ago. Its still not released.
Don't you know about diakatana? Or were you still in elementary school when that happened?

what I think people were talking about was that EA doesnt want to piss off the stores. Like if they offered the download one for half off then walmart would be all like "screw you, we wont sell your game now!"
Offering a download, even at the same price is just a no brainer, because it costs them pretty much zero money, so even if only a few people actually use it, it doesnt matter.

Ray Marden, I fear the future will have developers each forcing their own version of steam onto consumers computers, because if people put up with steam, they will put up with EA's version of steam, and then all the others aswelll...
Why would a giant company like EA pay a licence fee to valve, when they could just as easily get their programers to make their own steaming crap? Valve has shown that the delivery system doesnt even need to be bug free or that great, so I dont see any big hurdles.

yah, but steve jobs didnt invent the Ipod, he didnt even realise that they had a popular product right away. The initial ipod had no real advertising for a surprising amount of time.
