News Comments > Hitman: Contracts Website
5. Re: Hmm.... Feb 15, 2004, 00:17 anon@24.76

The first hitman was the first game to use corpse physics, like they would lean up on walls/desks/chiars, it took the other game engines years to get that.

someone else said it, but it bears repeating
firevird; "No ads, no popups, click-to-view Flash, it's easy to leave [only the annoying options of] Java disabled"

Also, isnt opera pay software?
or for the free version has banners?

The phishing bug in IE was in it for over a year. One of microsofts advisories was to never click on links, only type in addresses manualy.
It was NOT the @ sign one. It was a bug where any link could direct you to a site, but put ANYTHING they wanted in your address bar.
So by looking at you IE window there would be no way to tell that you were not ay mybank.com or paypal.com whatever.

News Comments > On 64-Bit Gaming
16. Re: results??? Feb 8, 2004, 17:45 anon@24.76

vacs:I actuall think YOU missed the point.
"
What matters 2004 is 32-bit game performance on 64-bit OSes and that is exactly what AnandTech tested." -vacs

Did you even read the quote blue posted?
here it is again.
"
The Athlon 64 quickly distinguished itself as the Gaming CPU with its outstanding performance in almost every 32-bit game
...[but] under XP64 Preview [scores]were 4% to 51% slower than 32-bit,
"

So, as you can see, YOU got it completly wrong.

I would be happy if the patch just removed the CDkey ONLINE check for LAN games. YOU DONT NEED INTERNET AT A LAN!

The thing I hate the most is that the games LAN programing is seriously screwed up.
We liked playing it at our LAN's because we dont always have internet and the coop is fun. But in the latest patches the game demands to be connected to the internet even for LAN. In the early versions you could just use edit the ini files, but not anymore, It takes like 10 mintues then it says no cd key, and drops them.

This is really frustrating.

does this patch let you play LAN games?

we installed one of the patches at a LAN game and it completly screwed the game up.
for even a LAN game the game wanted to connect to the internet and check cd keys, it was a LAN with no internet so we were screwed. Everyone had to uninstall, delete registry keys, and reinstall.

hope it is more like populus.

You HAVE to have the followers killing off the people that dont believe in their god.
Thats the whole point of religions!

That was the most frustrating part of the first one, and the fact that the resources were so limited.

"wasmentioned in passing, but it needs emphasis: people who hate Gamespy hate one of the core founders of online gaming. Without Quakespy's invention and the subsequent popularity of a standardized, excellent, inexpensive, reliable server browser, I really doubt that online gaming would have exploded the way it has over the past few years."

no, you can hate gamespy, because it is NOT quakespy. Why do you think they stoped updating gamespy 3d and are now pushing their crappy gamespy arcade?
Its because most of the people who worked on and owned the rights to quakespy quite or were fired.

"While it's certainly possible that Ion Storm and Eidos have reached into their *enormous* pockets and paid off various review sites, isn't it also the least bit possible that Invisible War isn't as bad as the demo portrayed it to be?"

Its called advertising.
last time i went to IGN using ie they had some of those horrible fullscreen flash ads for DX:IW, those probably dont come for free.

review sites are full of crap.
and IGN is one of the crappiest.
They gave master of orion 3 a 9 I think.

The main thing is, the publisher payed for some of the big full screen ads. same with DX:IW, go to ign, you have a good chance of getting the dx:iw ad first thing.

Good luck getting a republican elected then.
Why else do you think george W is doing the stupid shit he does:
ban stem cell research
protection of marriage week
ect.

creston, you have to try out the inventory interface.
It is 100 percent designed for console, you can barely use the mouse in it.
I think the look of the the new interface looks cool, but how it is used is complete garbage.

The interface is horrible from a USABILITY stand point.
I dont really care how it looks. I works like crap.

No drag and drop.
cant use the mouse on some menus.
have to press esc before you can press v, b, n.
and other bs like that.

some of the interface things i dont like.
the keys to go to the diffrent menus, when you are in the inventory menu the biomod menu should come up when you press the key, it doesnt, you have to press esc first, then you can do it.

The inventory, everything is annoyting about this.
some times tab upgrades weapons, sometimes it drops them, you select one weapon, read its stats or whatever, then click on another weapon to see its stuff, but NO, it just switches the location of the two items, damnit!

its funny, publishers are stupid.
Its like they are trying hard to get people to pirate games.

A pirate nowadays gets a much better gaming experience on average, plus the fact that they done have to pay.

The copyprotection now just adds value to warez versions of the games.

Often even when the protection isnt stoping the game from running completly it is still slowing the game down, (morrowind).

You know, I think people are allowed to change their views over many years...

As other people have said, adam west did a voice on Family Guy, and that show is about as far as you can get from original batman, and still show on regular channels.

I took a look at his site, but the only things I can see are bugs that cause the servers or clients to crash, where is the key generator?

Did you even read the letter gamespy sent to him?

It does not mention keys at all!
it bitches because he posted the fact that running certain gamespy software will let anyone else run any code on your computer.
