I also love how they later say that if any of this TOS is found illegel, then you agree to waive the right to a trial by Jury when you do go to court.

Reading the full thing, its broad enough to actually go both ways. IE: Sony cant sue you and must go via arbitration if you have agreed to this. Of course they will ignore that little fact.

"They both just have teams shoot at each other for about 10 minutes, and then tally the deaths."

Someone hasnt played BC2. Or just played deathmatch like a console gamer.

If anyone in the UK cares, you can get this from Best Buy for 25.99 (the label said 27.99, but it is cheaper when scanned) and it does activate on Steam

It is exactly this. GAME are threatening anyone who uses Steamworks with a full embargo on any game (and on any platform) that contains Steamworks.

The only way to appease them is to delist the title from the Steam store.

"He also admits that the company has been involved in a couple of court cases over labor disputes, which were settled in Crytek's favor"

Yeah, its still in Cryteks favour to settle for 50k rather than lose when it gets to court and be liable for 10x that. Hardly "winning".

They are an EA studio, none of this sounds implausible.

"prestige" of paying $1k for a tophat?

If I know gamers, they would mercilessly mock you for buying something for that much money.

But it still pretty much gives them free reign to snoop at your software, hardware and usage. They just wont use it to market things to you, and when they sell it they will just make it harder to identify who you are.

I wonder if they will reboot it by having duke able to carry all weapons, have dedicated servers, and have Duke be Duke?

58. Re: Crysis 2 Crisis: Game and Key Leaked? Feb 12, 2011, 10:59 Beady

You know, this leak may have actually convinced me to buy the game.

I was pretty sceptical about this after finding Crysis a bit lacking in the land of fun. The media hadnt really interested me with very little gameplay being shown (and none on the PC).

But with seeing videos on youtube from this leak and hearing about how well it performs/looks I'm actually interested now.

Funny how IGN dont mention the day-glo UI which looks totally out of place for the setting.

And the line about "swords look like they have a weight to them" makes me laugh, have you seen how fast the combat animations are? Its like ADHD kids on a sugar high swinging plastic swords.

So it was IW who were responsible for no Dedicated Servers and not Activision. Seems like IW are the egomaniacs the lawsuits make them appear.

Concentrate on making gorgeous looking games please.

Crytek have already shown they have no clue at anything other than that.

I'm so glad Gamespy has lost so much market share when it comes to middleware.

Every game they were involved in had a terrible MP experience with piss poor server browsers and uptime.

Falcon 4.0 was one of those manuals that required the old style big box.

Homeworld probably had the best manual of any game though. Huge amounts of back-story to the game, and even discussions between ficticious characters talking about what space combat may be like. And the art was amazing.
