The story was weak and predictable, the characters almost universally unlikeable and the main character quite regularly made major plot decisions which I had no control over and he always chose the "this is a fucking bad idea" option.

Uhh, it's not an RPG.

Yes to that. I'd think you guys would be gamers here but the criticisms for this game are plot, characters, story? What about gameplay? Sorry to repeat, but Mafia 2 is simply a game of connect the dots. The dots are some decent cutscenes connected by long drives and easy shoot-outs. But, Mafia 2 is a pretty decent PC port, and this is Blue's comments, where a good PC port is better than a good game.

Can't we leave this awful memory behind and move on to prettier thoughts? Like a consolized Max Payne 3. That would be better. Much!

My first thought was this is an update to the game manual.

I'm waiting for the patch that makes it cheaper.

They reveal an upcoming "big picture" mode, "which will offer controller support and navigation designed for television interaction,"

And it continues on to say what it will enable. That is not vague.

As if they weren't stretched thin enough already. Well, at least we'll have Portal 2 to play for the next two years...

Oh and Valve, I already beat you to it. It's called a DVI-to-HDMI converter. $3 on Amazon. Hope you can beat that price.

A 3 dollar converter the modifies the UI of Steam?!? That sounds pretty fancy.

Sounds to me like a UI change, at least in early phase. Perhaps I'm not reading between the lines?

So I wonder where all those people are that bitch about games costing more than they 'should'... Because holy hell, Portal 2 is not something I would pay fifty (or forty, thirty, etc) bucks for...

And yes, that's not actually based on Portal 2... It's based on the first one, that did just about nothing revolutionary, and was way the hell overhyped : )

I do hope you all enjoy it though : )

17. Re: Dead Space 2 Key Remap Patch Plans Feb 8, 2011, 15:28 Stolk

I doubt it was malicious but I cannot see how it wasn't intentional. Both Dead Space 1 and 2 have had these problems. It didn't take me long with Dead Space to search and find multiple people having the same problems. Intentionally lazy with the PC release.

So can we consider being left-handed disabled as well? There are some other keys I'd love to bind.

They stole 5 bucks from me for the PC version of Dead Space off Steam. Is anyone here left-handed that tried that game for the PC? It was a complete disregard for the people that buy games from them on the PC. Literally, an executive ate tacos and shit that version of the game out.

I don't care how good this game is, I'm not buying it on anything. There are plenty of good games to play from devs that appreciate PC gamers.

Why does the game look like 2150 if it's only supposed to be 2027?

Are you from the future? How the fuck did you decide that the art direction looks like 2150 instead of 2027?

You really cannot see how 2027 should look far less 'futurlike' than 2150? 2027 is only 16 years away you know.

Is there nothing you people will not complain about?

It's gotten worse lately, hasn't it? The average negativity in Blue's News comment threads has risen pretty sharply, IMHO. Makes reading them quite a grind, sadly ...

It seems to be about the same as always, which is always quite laughable. People prefer a quality PC port and non-consolesque menus over a good game. Aside from that, I really don't know what it is about Blue's that makes people that like video games so angry at video games.

I guess that means they altered the end of the game so that it no longer quits?

I ASSuMEd from the description that the player will be a different character than the New Vegas character. But it really isn't clear. Edit: OR, since it is new terrain, maybe the events from New Vegas do not conflict with this DLC.
