Weirdly enough that graphics enhancement mod is also getting reports that it's fixing stuttering and improving performance for people. Makes you wonder wtf Ubi was doing.

Same shit happened with Skyrim, two community patches fixed long time issues they had with the engine.

OMG....the crashing...for TWO YEARS....and then a simple SKSE DLL....no more crashing. I guarantee there were programmers at Bethesda who knew full well what the problem was, and they may have even wanted to help, but Bethesda probably wouldn't let them. Literally no profit to be had in fixing it I suppose.

I've heard rumors that the next gen of video cards will have at least 6 GB of video memory as a standard. That's not exactly good news for those of us who have invested in SLI/Crossfire systems that may be obsolete in the near future.

this ties in to my conspiracy theory about why so many new games were delayed or held back until next year, right around when these cards will start shipping

on a side note, a 6gb gfx card sounds sweet as hell.. ive been waiting for the new stuff for a long while now, saving up and slumming it with my ancient 560ti

The 6GB version of the 780 is tempting, but I have 2 GB 680 now, and so I'll hold off for the 880.

News Comments > Grand Theft Auto V for PC This Fall
27. Re: Grand Theft Auto V for PC This Fall Jun 10, 2014, 10:48 jomisab

The first video I watched was the E3 announcement where only the PS4 was mentioned, and I thought "WTF, no PC?!"

This is going to be amazing. That video kicks so much ass I think it might make Chuck Norris jealous. Next-gen from frame #1.

Makes we wonder what Watch Dogs 2 will look like as GTA V will probably raise the graphical bar significantly over WD.

Finally, I can see this being responsible for a ton of new console sales, as well as new high-end GPU sales. The GTX 880 can't come soon enough!

Hey, its almost like they had this ready to go from before launch, talk about conspiracy's

Would have been nice if they had better texture handling and PC optimization ready to go before launch. But...that doesn't really show up on the bottom line I guess.

I sure hope the GTX 880 comes out soon. I'd like to hold out for that rather than upgrade to a GTX 780 6GB from my current 680 2GB.

<CONSPIRACY_THEORY>

In other news, nVidia is reporting a significant bump in recent sales of video cards with at least 3GB of VRAM. In fact, the newly released GTX 780 6GB variants are practically flying off the shelves.

"filmic look"...lol

Maybe Ubisoft should say they've made the "High" textures in Watch_Dogs look like ass to give the game more of a 90's vibe.

Was browsing Twitch last night and wandered into the GTA V channel. At the top of the list was somebody named "WatchDogz" or something to that effect. Anyway, I started watching, and it quickly became apparent they were streaming Watch Dogs. Probably watched for a half hour. Looks like fun.

I don't know man. In my opinion, Watch Dogs has all the makings of a debacle. But I guess Wolfenstein got great reviews so maybe I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

I think it will be good, but I also think that people who expect it to feel as "open" as GTA might be disappointed.

Lol, as Blue noted, the "next-gen" consoles are already falling behind.

On PC with nVidia, we'll have HBAO and TXAA.

And there will doubtless be an Ultra level or two above High.

These recent cancer treatments involving viruses are so exciting. I remember the other recent case where the girl with the brain tumor was cured after being injected with a massive dose of Polio. Seems like cures for cancer have been hiding in plain sight all along...here's hoping.

And that 50% of Netflix users would start using what other service(s) instead??

Seriously, people just don't see how much money they completely waste on a daily basis and how $2 really means nothing. How about you go without a Starbucks latte one day per month and then have two months' worth of that Netflix price delta covered?

1080p I believe, but at 60fps on a PS4.... call me skeptical.

Because it doesn't use half of the graphical details and effects of which the game is capable. If you want all that, you play on PC.

QFT...looking forward to TXAA, HBAO, etc...

Duh. If you think ISP's aren't throttling then sandvine wouldn't be still making a mint selling their boxes.

Been pretty fortunate with Cablevision I think. 101 Mbit for $55/month and always get better performance than even that. No issues with Netflix etc....but I know they are one of the few ISPs to install Netflix's server hardware in their datacenters.

Just pray to God that Cablevision never gets bought out by some evil POS company like Comcast or Time Warner.
