2010: 7.46 million (two quarters)
2011: 32.39 million
2012: 58.31 million
2013: 71.04 million
2014: 67.99 million
2015: 21.42 million (one quarter)

So IPad sales will be 85 MM?

Probably not. This past quarter is always their biggest by far because of the holidays. Current projections are for less than 10m iPad sales in the March quarter.

Yea I don't trust the whole 'nobody got review copies until the day of release' what so ever.

I won't be buying the game until I see a review from TB or Angry Joe.

Precisely my modus operandi going forward, especially after Ubi's "three strikes and you're out" 2014 with Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, and (especially) AC Unity not having (and STILL not having) proper SLI support. As Hardocp noted in their recent performance review of Far Cry 4, for any developer to not have 100% working SLI support out of the gate these days is simply inexcusable. They also said that gamers just have to stop all the pre-ordering. We only have ourselves to blame for games being released half-assed.

It's not about the money? Uh....right.

Couldn't help notice the amount of money they raised so far is what Notch paid for his house.

I guess this means we shouldn't be worried about Bethesda getting any silly ideas about abandoning the single player games.

Right now I'm trying to get through the existing content: "The Texture-Popping Revolution", "The Microtransaction Prisoner", and "Killed by Stuttering".

The only real difficulty for me was some of the warchief mission/ability combinations. I remember one where a warchief was immune to all but the most difficult attack methods. The mission to draw him out was to sound the alarm in the biggest fort on map 1 and kill 20-ish orcs. Of course sounding the alarm summons all the nearby captains too, plus the horde of vanilla baddies. The spot it occurred at didn't have hanging meat nearby to summon caragors, and the scene transition took away any mount you might bring. That took a few tries.

Otherwise I didn't mind the easy difficulty too much. I enjoyed playing the game like I was their boogeyman. I had a few runes equipped to increase their fear and send them running in terror. They didn't get far. Mwahahaha.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to kill a level 20 Warchief who's only weaknesses are a fear of fire and a fear of flies.

Great game. Would be surprised if they don't make a sequel, but at the same time I hope it doesn't turn into an annual AC-style affair with no evolution of game mechanics, a putrid online component, and micro transactions.

If people would stop pre-ordering completely, that would be a good start and a strong message. I bet that would make them change their ways.

Why does it sound like they are describing an MMO?

R.I.P. hopes for a Watch Dogs game that actually delivers.

The fears of a postponement...

What fucking fears of postponement? Who the fuck thought it was going to be delayed? There has been absolutely zero indication to that effect. We've known it would be released on the 27th for freaking MONTHS. Seriously, this knee-jerk misinformation is just giving the PC haters their undeserved attention.

Yep, have no worries about physical copies being available, but it's really strange that Steam lists the title and can only state "Early 2015". Naturally, Amazon also has no info on the PC Download version.

Really hope I don't have to buy a physical copy of a game. Can't remember the last time I had to do that.

I have to admit, I do use my iPad less now that I also have an iPhone 6 Plus. But we have several iPads in the house and would not give them up for anything. Everything from personal finance, to every magazine subscription I have, to games, to Twitch/YouTube/Optimum/etc, to just about anything....it's all there on the tablet.

I might be tempted by a 12" iPad for the better magazine readability, remote worker screen space, etc.

Why in the hell would anyone want to torture themselves by playing on Nightmare mode? I played it on easy on my first run through to get all of the collectables, but Easy mode in this game is NOT easy. I just finished it again on Hard, which should be renamed Unfair Mode. Anyways, I squeezed every last achievement out of it including the One Shot (do not die) achievement.

Just started the game, and now I'm glad I chose easy.

The max difficulty I usually go through games on is Normal. Life's too short. I want to experience the content in the game, not spend countless hours slogging through the same things over and over again.

People might want to hold off patching for now. Unlike Steam, you can set Origin not to auto-update...

You can tell Steam to not update on a game-by-game basis.

can we stop getting out panties in a twist for games that actually push graphical requirements forward?

to imply that their coders are lazy or untalented, is really missing the point. that because of high requirements it is somehow a garbage port? pretty sure that a garbage port would be an identical copy of the 4GB max that the consoles have to play with. bumping that up with extra quality for PC is a GOOD THING. in fact it's THE reason to game on a PC in the first place. if you want something that runs fine on old hardware, then go buy a console.

do you even PC?

oculus support sounds great though, vorpx is garbage. if it's not native, it's not worth it.

^ Yes, this ^

Every time I sigh at how fucking terrible the US is getting, I think to myself "At least I don't live in Australia, where the government will decide what entertainment I, as an adult, can consume."

Tell your state censorship board that. I'm sure they could use a laugh. And this is a private corp doing this, not the gubment.

Not really. It's born out of the Australian government refusing to create an actually valid Adults Only/18+ rating for games (and perhaps other media), so anything that doesn't fit their qualification for the next lower ranking automatically gets rejected as unfit for society.

And my state censorship board doesn't censor anything. They may try to from time to time, but get their ass shot down by SCOTUS every single time. Until such a time as a corporation pays enough bribes to a Senator to have the First Amendment overturned, I'm in not much danger of being told, as an adult, that "such and such is unfit for your consumption."

Dude, there's a metric shit ton of censorship that goes on with media in America. And don't think the rest of the world doesn't think the US insane when we see shit like country going batshit crazy over a nipple-slip from a "wardrobe malfunction". A much larger, and much more insane reaction than 40k idiots complaining to a store.

It has always struck me as odd that the U.S. is so prudish about TV/movie content but never gives an NC-17 rating to anything that is over-the-top graphic/violent. I kind of think that will change over time however. Sex and porn are so easily accessible on the net, and in this country, that's not likely to change, which I guess is somewhat ironic.
