I have no intentions of buying this game but I hate to see this type of DRM come into being as it will no doubt lead other publishers to try the same crap with their games.
I guess I will just keep buying GOG type games as I hate DRM of any kind.
PC gaming isn't dead yet but they sure are trying. |

Well, I've purchased various versions of Ghost Recon for both PC and Xbox over the years and I've purchased my last of either from Ubisoft. From a purchaser's point of view it's just as easy to ignore an Xbox title as it is a PC title.
Game publishers who take on this attitude and think they are so clever calling their customers "pirates" when their tired rehashed games don't sell as well as they projected can eat shit and die as far as I'm concerned. Think of it as me adapting my wallet to the game market.
And with that said I give thanks on this Thanksgiving for decent and hardworking game publishers who know that some people actually pay for their products.

I just played and finished this demo. No complaints on the graphics but I was only expecting what we all saw seen previously on trailers.
Game play was pretty much standard shooter stuff. Not the worst, not the best, and basically what I expected.
Wasn't crazy about the level choices, as others have stated it seems like they picked the lamest couple of levels. I felt like I needed the Half-Life crowbar to deal with those crab things or whatever they were supposed to be in the mineshaft level. Took me a bit to get through that level as I was looking for a door and finally realized I had to jump up the scaffolding to exit the mineshaft, doh.
I'm glad it's finally done. I wasn't all that crazy about the original Duke(liked Quake series 1000x more), liked the DN Manhattan Project sidescroller, and was hoping this would be better than it was but I will play it because I am a FPS freak. Overall it's pretty average.

I agree. There is no way I am paying a monthly fee so I can get owned over and over by cheaters with their aimbots. I can get that for free already.

It's no doubt that shit like this is what delayed the game.
And they should leave the feces in the game. If you are gonna stoop this low you might as well roll around in it. |
