I'm beginning to get fed up with shit on the PC simply NOT WORKING.
Thats funny, i was thinking the exact opposite today. Mainly i was sitting here doing some work in Flash, when it occured to me that i had 3 EQ2 accounts running (not all mine, dont ask), Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Firefox, IE (stoopid hotmail) and Asureus. All of that and my comp has been running for 6 days straight.
Now im not tryign to sound 'mightier than thou', but it honestly amazes me what the PC does nowadays. I dont even have SP2 installed, but ive got the latest drivers (last update was over a month ago) and it all runs extremly well.
I dunno, the experiance ive had with things not working on other peoples computers is generalyl it not being set up right.
Half Life 2? ran sweet, i only found out about the stutter bug after i had completed it and went back and started to read peoples comments on it, even then i still havent seen it.
I use an AMD-FX 52, GT6800GT OC, and everythign runs sweet. the only problem that springs to mind was a recent graphical error with EQ2 and that was only because of excess heat due to not cleaning the intake filter (You do filter the air goign into your case right? even excess heat will screw things up badly). Also scan and protect from spyware and ur good to go.
Im not saying your incompetent or anything like that, but what i am saying is that jumping to conclusions can be bad.
I will agree with you on lack of decent games (ie too many crappy ports), and i will agree with you on consoles having better multiplayer components. oh and if u want to see a good game return policy go check out stores in the UK, they mostly all allow returns within 15-30 days, no questions asked....

hey guys, myself and partner are moving from NC to Scotsdale Arizona in a few weeks time (sudden change of jobs) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to any apartment complexes or specific areas to live in?

They were banning people before, check out the forums at EQ2players.com.
I thuink the only reason theve decided to highlight it is purely from the viewpoint that your stating, that players thought SoE was just sitting back and not doing anything, so they are listening to the player base and taking some advice on board, which seems to be the whole ethios with EQ2.
As for crafting its an intresting situation. I cant imagine any crafting situation where it is 'OMG!! fun'. however i think the reason you craft and that i craft too, is that there is a reward at the end of it, ie money from sales, or in things you can use be it armor, weapons etc.
As for things killing you while crafting thats changed too, in the early days using the forge used to be a 50/50 life or death, if there was blood in the game the forge rooms would have looked worse than Doom 3 after some heavy firefights.
Sut SoE listened to the players and toned that down, now failing the reaction drains the durability of the item (ie how good the final product will be), and will often drain your power too, which limits your ability to respond to the reactions.
Anyways just my two cents, personnally i think with all the changes that have gone into the game over the past few months its truly beginning to shine, which is nice :-)

Anyone knows what's wrong with Penny Arcade?
They mentioned I while ago that they were upgrading their servers but didnt say when it would be done, although you think they would have timed it on a non-update day,..
Not sure if that is the reason though.

I hated the demo. Weak weapons, confusing enemies (Looked a lot like my team mates), tightly cramped playing areas, was practically on rails etc etc

Tango: I watched it last year in a sports bar in Manchester, and the two years before it in the USA.
If you watch it in England with a bunch of American Football fans, or at least vague followers, then yeah its pretty good. Probably the main thing about the Superbowl is the adverts, they really really rule, and back in England they dont show the Ads, which kinda sucks but makes obvious sense. The half time show is good, but depends if you like that sort of thing, last year we just used it to get really drunk(er).
So yeah try to watch with friends, otherwise might not be worth it.

"I was too much of a wimp to look out my own door, after several hours I still couldent bare to do it. After going to the hospital due to my uncontrollable shits brought on by me being a puss, I came home and realised that it had all been a kind gesture mixed with misunderstanding.
After 2 weeks of working up the courage to speak to the girls I realised that their apology was not heart felt and realised that my only course of action was to sue the fuck out of them.
Im sure they have learnt their lesson; that of "creating a kind surprise for neighbours is a criminal offense and one that will get you sued."

let me refute each one of your comments:
Full destructable environments coupled with excellent gameplay has already been mentioned as something of a Holy Grail of the FPS - Merely an improvment on what we have today.
But how about some realistic allied squad AI? How about dynamic enemy AI which will shift allegiance and make broad, strategic decisions based on the bigger picture? - Another improvement as the tech gets better
What about a time-travel FPS where you try to shape the present by modifying the past, travelling freely between two time periods? - would be cool, but already done by day of the tentacle
What about a FPS where you lead an antire army, on the scale of Rome: Total War, into battle? - Command and Conquer Renegade only ona bigger scale.
What about a FPS where the lead female character is sensibly dressed and never resorts to sexual innuendo? - OK you got me there, it would be original and innovative, but never gonna hapen.

The problem with Bond movies now is that they are too politically correct.
No cold blooded killing of baddies, no pushing little kids off of boats, apparently we need women in a Bond movie to be 'empowered' and as good at ass kicking as Bond.
If I wanted to see empowered women I would watch lifetime.
