Out of curiosity I decided to look up fleshlight, thinking it was some sort of synthetic skin, turns out it kinda is, but its 'wrapped' around a toy, whats even better is that a co-worker walked in as the image was loading, thank god for alt F4, although it took a bunch of work research tabs with it grrr.

It was just me acting like a dork.

oh good, im not the only one around here then, i was ducking behind my coffee table when hiding behind a table in red steel.

The controller really adds something to games that just isnt there in other games consoles.

I also found the red steel learning curve to be steep, but honestly, i think its down to getting used to the controls more than anything, each mission my accuracy and familiarity with it all was goin up and up. Witht he view wandering only becoming an issue when i was distracted by the dog trying to get me as I run around the room shooting some punks with a shotgun

If its anything like Red Steel, you use the nunchuck thumb stick to move around (left and right strafe you left and right), move the pointer to the edge of the screen to turn and look up and down.

Then Red Steel goes onto :

Shake the nunchuk to knife the guy in front of you
Shake the nunchuk also to open doors and flip tables over.
Mote - Rotate for style (Tilts your hand around), makes a nice little reloading sound when your reloading (The speaker could do with an upgrade, but I expect to see that in future mote versions)

The sword fights rule, they have you blocking, slashing, knifing and dodging around the guy, from a 3rd person, watching someone play its actually really cool, and even better when your the guy playing.
Its pretty intense in some fights, With no health regen in those fights, it can get pretty close.

Ive been thinking about picking up CoD3, it looks pretty cool. Im guessing the hiding behind the couch is an overreaction, although it wouldent surprise me if the you could actually do that, based on everything ive played so far.

Red Steel is still cool, the more you play with the console, the better you get with the aiming etc, so beware your first impressions of this game.

I went home for lunch, and with sunlight streaming into the living room, the controller acts nuts. I managed to reduce a lot of it, but with some direct beams landing around the TV the pointer was just acting crazy. Fortunatly you dont really need the pointer for Zelda, but its an intreresting issue, that I will fortunatly not be an issue after I move. Perfect window placements in relation to the Tv in the new house.

Good job on getting one nin, I dropped into best buy on my way home from lunch and noticed they had about 6 copies of zelda going spare. So you might want to see if you can pick a copy up before the system arrives.

Revo Future Accessories Prediction:

Upgraded Sensor bar - removing/reducing sunlight glare interferience - Helping with pointer going off screen

Recharge capable mote.

cradles for motes and nunchuks.

Fan grip mote and nunchuck - The two are pretty comfortable, but the slick plastic causes some sweat to build up on the plastic, which is a touch annoying.

None of the above are bad things that in anyway interfere with the Revo, but they are all things which will be filled by third parties.

Just thought I would put that out there, in my continued thought updates here

Sunshine does appear to interfere with the signal, its not too bad, although it is noticable when there is a bunch of light bouncing around the room.

as a note of caution there is a definate lack of Zelda and Nunchucks floating around out there.

I got one!! Woot!

I had to camp out infront of a Target overnight, freezing my ass off. But it is very very sweet.

Managed to pick up Zelda, Red Steel, Super monkey Balls, 2 extra remotes and one extra nunchuck.

The controls truly chage the way you think of games. Its weird, I honestly feel a bit more attached, especially when you get into some cool sword fights both in Zelda and Red Steel.

Zelda is just frickin sweet, nough said.

Red Steel feels a little rough, however the cool control scheme more than makes up for it. There are some very cool fights where stuff is blowing up all around you, your spraying the room with your uzi, knocking over tables and ducking down.
Health is a little fake (it regens), but I cant think of any better way of doing it, as you get sprayed with shots in small enclosed areas. Definatly worth picking up though.

Monkey balls, is amusing for group fun, got it more for my wife than anything else.

Interesting story, she tried playing monkey balls first (after i had been playing zelda for a few hours). And she hated it. She couldent aim it well, nor could she get the tilt function.

So we moved onto wii sports, and after playing bowling and then golf, it all came together for her, so much so that playing monkey balls was very much more easy for her. Once it had all clicked we were having a great time with wii sports, jumping around the room, screaming and shouting.

Its amazing, I have never had that experiance with any console before, so once the revo gets some more games into its library, this is goingto be a great family machine.

Keep looking though nin, its worth it.

So did anyone on here actually get a PS3?

Or is everyone waiting for the Revo?

I think it was the style of gameplay that people remember. That and it was one of the first exposures to being able to float around in the vast emptiness of space.

I think its kinda like Half Life. Its pretty simplistic, but the way it was put accross and the style it imparted, left a lasting impression on people.

Hopefully this will be good, but then again I remember Elite 2: Frontier, so im not too hopefull

Its weird, I still have no real interest to play GW, but I will quite happily burn the midnight oil on WoW....

Until I knife some old granny for my Revo on Sunday, then ill be waving my way through Zelda for next week or two

Huzzah!

heh you been hiding under a rock?

Yeah its $600, with only 400,000 for the entire USA (And theres rumour that they are shipping less than that). Based on the Japanese launch where an 8th of all shipments ended up going for resale, the US launch is going to be a disaster.

Do you self a favour, go get a revo on sunday. Although if you live in Phoenix, dont, I hear they dont work, or something like that. At least wait until ive got mine, then go check them out...

ahem.

24. Not fair Nov 7, 2006, 17:22 The Truth

My wifes Golden Retirever who has been living with her parents for the last few years had to be put down yesterday due to a massive cancer infection. She is pretty devestated as the golden had been through a lot with her and she had been hoping to go see her in January. It sucks that they dont last that long. Hopefully the 6month old Golden we have now (55pounds and growing...) will live longer otherwise thats going to devestated me too

In other news Im going to camp in a walmart on saturday night, and if that fails go camp outside a target the next morning, and if that fails drive around my list of locations in a desperate attempt to get me some Revo luvin.
