Golden axe was the best. We had a competition (three player w00t) who could jump the highest before it froze at the ending cutscreen - since your "head" would clip through the top of the screen to the bottom. If you had your head clipping then you won outright.

That and nicking your mates dragon was also fun. Oh and using magic at the most innapropriate time such as to get more magic.

Class game, I miss playing golden axe at uni.

Do you have an underlying message in Fallout 3 - apocalyptic movies and books usually do...
Different people sacrifice different things to survive, and blowing them into bloody-chunks is often hilarious.

crosses fingers, please dont have killed the humour - I can smell the old humour surfacing here....

News Comments > BioShock DRM Fixed
18. Re: DRM Jun 20, 2008, 03:42 Armengar

I bought bioshock (box) I also use "securom circumvention" as I do with ALL of my games. I used to HATE steam with a passion in the early days but ive grown from hating to living with it to actually liking it (I have a couple of spanned 8.4gb discs with my base steam folder that can be copied quite happily to a PC - saves downloading!)

I refuse to use starforce games as I do not see why I should be treated like a criminal after purchasing a game. The damn things are cracked anyway - I prefer to use mini images so that I can keep patched up.

Although this update is nice, it makes no difference to me as I do not put the disc in my drive anyway. It stays safe and happy in its velvet lined cupboard

did you even bother to read the text just above this? it clearly states that with the flamethrower's alt-fire you can redirect enemy projectiles.

did you even bother reading my retraction 2 posts above my original? (I find it rude to edit my original posts after people have replied you see)

I dont know, you aska question and the hormones start flaming. This used to be a civilised board :/

Well my dell account manager doesnt charge me any extra for XP. I simply tell them that I will take my business to HP/Fujitsu/Stone/RM who will supply me with XP.

Thus I get my 50 machines with XP pro (delivered in a week) for the same cost of vista business.

aha!

In addition to the three unlockable Pyro weapons, we've made a significant addition to the base Pyro flamethrower. By hitting the alt-fire key, the Pyro is able to produce a blast of compressed air that knocks enemies away, and redirects enemy projectiles.

And yes, asking questions is being a moron. Of course how silly of me 'Balatro'

These achievements dont seem HALF as stupid as the medic ones. I reckon I should start with the flare gun!

I dont get this one though:

Kill a Soldier with a reflected critical rocket.

reflected? Something I dont know about?

4-7 hours of quality play though? Or sat around waiting to find a party to help the grind...

Im not a fan of pay monthly (guild wars was ok but I got bored). I was soon back to TF2. Oh how I hate that naughty stepchild but I cannot let it go....

Fallout 2 had a good approach. There was a storyline threaded through it and if you simply rushed to get the GECK and trigger part two as early as you could then you could pretty much explore the world and pick up on the main storyline when you wanted to.

Its a shame that this expansion wont let you do that. I love the NWN series. I still remember desperately wanting BG and BG2 to be better (icewind was rubbish). Planescape was unique and nothing touched it at the time.

I'll still buy this though. I love the "universe" but hate the franchise

But doesnt that defeat one of the purposes of modern supercomputers? I thought the biggest problem these days was heat dissipation and power consumption not raw processing power. I suppose if you have unlimited budgets then it wont matter.

Achievements ruined a lot of public servers, especially those with limited class slots. The stupidity of some of the requirements means that even now many games have medics spamming chat and ignoring most "healing" duties because they already have that achievement.

As a casual gamer I have gone onto other games for the time being until all this class rubbish has died down.

Dr Evil

Word from Pete Hines on the Fallout Website is they actually considered trying to get the device to interface with the game, but having to support three different platforms among other issues rendered this impractical.

It seems so.

$120? mmm maybe not.

The problem here in the UK is that there are very few coppers to stop you and lots of speed cameras run by companies who want to make money.

Either that or the police stoop to hiding in horse boxes with cameras

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7322582.stm

I once got a speeding ticket through the post faster than it took the police to attend an incident I had reported. 3 days. Good to see my tax dollars at work.

I found MS flight sim to be boring. Then again some people LOVED it. Much the same really, not a game for me but it is a niche simulation.

people still use "debit cards" to buy things? I never trust debit cards. You have almost ZERO comeback. At least a credit card company can be brought to task or a chargeback initiated.

edit: plus why didnt he just tell teh fraud depatment that it WAS fraud - he only ordered one copy? Surely that would have sorted it?

I had a similar problem where I had been double billed. After getting written confirmation from the company that they were not going to do something I simply informed the credit card company to chargeback the lot (with the evidence I had) voila! I got my money back.

My lord of the rings is a trilogy albeit in a single bound book. Also...
The three parts were first published several months apart, in 1954 and 1955 by Allen & Unwin. The novel has since been reissued many times by multiple publishers, as one-, three-, six- or seven-volume sets. There were significant changes in the text from the first editions of the three separate parts to the next three-volume print.]

As nin stated. That is what happened. Tolkien DID want the original first edition to be published, however people changed things later on.

9. Re: PS3 as Blu-ray player May 27, 2008, 08:22 Armengar

I know one reason why I should use my PS3 as a blue ray player. I won it in a competition so it was free. I must admit though, I was annoyed at the lack of IR as I use a kameleon remote for all my gizmos. Noise doesnt bother me as I have a glass fronted ventilated cabinet for my hifi, satellite, av switchers etc. Luckily my ancient kenwood nv701 had an optical in. I dont have a truehd decoder but I do like the comfort of my DTS or 48khz lights lighting up and showing the speaker outputs. Then again, it is hardly a show stopper.
