Meh. Once id's Rage hits the scene, this toon game will be forgotten quickly. They will need some major additions to the game to keep interest in the sequel or maybe sheeple will just lap it up anyway like MW2. <shrug>

Yeah, because id made so many great games in the past, particularly, shooters with rpg elements. lol

Nice. Is the game much better now? I never played it before.

Yes, it's a new and improved version of "Go kill 5 bunnies and bring me back their pelts".

Scavenge + Survival + co-op?

Shit. Game of the year assholes!

I agree. L4D2 is an amazing game. When I see posts about people not understanding its appeal, I question whether they even played it. Gamers have been asking for true co-op games for years, and finally a game designer has figured out how to make one the right way.

Job security is a thing of the past with most corporations.

So true. I work in the software industry and for the past 8 years or so, I've been worried about losing my job. With layoffs happening when a company has 1 bad quarter is the norm, there's not a day that goes by where you're not worrying. If you don't want a lot of stress in your life, stay away from software development (unless you're doing it for yourself). Not only do you work a butt-load of hours (basically no life), but you also don't get much compensation when the company does well (no raises after hitting a certain level, etc). And having clueless managers (i.e. the ones that have no idea what it takes to develop something), is pretty standard... which makes your job even more of a struggle. I should have been a plumber.

I just created a new petition that demands the features that I want in the game! How dare they release a game without the features that I want?

Must be a UK study because I haven't a clue what a "game portal" is.

I believe what they mean is that they go through another website like Facebook, AOL, Yahoo games, etc.

Risen is a great game. Nice to see it on there. It's one of those games that really makes you feel like you're in the game world. What I really like about it is how difficult it is at the beginning and then you slowly get more powerful. There are too many games that allow you kill too easily at the very beginning. I need a real feeling of progression and and Risen seems to nail it.

From all the gameplay videos I've seen, it seems to have a lot of polish and old-school crpg vibe. Looks good to me.

"I've been playing for hte last 2 weeks and not had any issues at all. "

Same here. I've been playing for almost a month and there was only one day that I had a little problem logging in. But other than that, I've had no problems and there are plenty of players on the server. I really think this game is a lot of fun. Don't let the naysayers (i.e. people who probably haven't played it) sway you (but I do agree that all mmos shouldn't charge for the game; only the subscription).

I have to agree. You shouldn't have to pay a startup fee (i.e. $50) for an mmo. If your game is any good, people will happily pay a sub fee which will easily cover the startup fee you think you're missing.

I think it's pretty lame to charge a startup fee only to realize after just a few hours of playing that it's horrible. Then you're stuck with a game you don't even want to play.
