Greedy Nexon just pissed that their best employees left to start their own game studio. Innocent until proven guilty. I actual admire Ironmace's reponse:

We are a merry band of veteran game developers disillusioned by the exploitative and greedy practices we once helped create. We are experts who have worked on many of the biggest hits in Korea. We’ve seen first hand how corporate game companies sell their soul for the easy payday. We are disappointed to see them doubling down on more and more exploitative practices, becoming more like casinos instead of bringing joy to gamers. We’re fighting to win back the hearts of gamers around the world. We believe that by creating games with soul, and by respecting our users we can usher in a renaissance of awesome video games direct from Korea.

Whether that's from the heart or total hot air, who cares? If Nexon can accuse then they can say what they want too

"Windows 11 update is reportedly causing some PCs to crash or run very sluggishly."

I saw this just as I clicked "Stay on Windows 10" when Windows Update tried to get me to install 11 🤪

How is this still an issue after all these years? If I want to keep my laptop plugged in, it shouldn't ruin the battery. The device should be able to manage this intelligently and not leave it to user to maintain a healthy lithium-ion battery 🤣

Oh and to add to this hot topic. I'll say, no matter what you say, productivity isn't the same working at home vs an office. YOUR productivity may be the same or better, but the overall productivity company wise takes a dip. I can honestly say, I'm one of the best productivity wise in my department. There is only 1 other equal to me and the rest aren't even close. That said, I KNOW my productivity goes down working from home. The truth is in the numbers and it shows. I do a decent amount less from home than in the office. There are just too many ways to get distracted in comparison to the office.

It’s the total opposite for me. I get way more done when working from home because people like to talk to me in the office (about stuff unrelated to work). The last time I was there, one of my 4 managers dragged out a story about himself for over an hour and the whole time all I was thinking about was when he will stop. So yeah, I guess it depends on the job and the people

Not going to be much different than guys doing that with Hentai porn right now. Heck, there are probably enough NSFW games on Steam that people already do while they play it. I mean, I honestly thought that was the point of most of those games.

I suppose the only difference here, aside from knowing it isn't real like the above mentioned is that they can put full on celebrity faces on the "actors" so you can get an experience fulfilled that you always wanted to see, lol.

Oh c'mon... life-like vs cartoon/3D? That's the difference which will attract a lot more people

That Lana Del Rey "Video Games" article reminds me of a girlfriend I once had that needed me to give her attention 24/7. I basically dumped her because of that

I switched back to Firefox after using Chrome for years. So tired of Google’s bs. Firefox is pretty secure and comes with Adblock Ultimate, which does a great job at bypassing those annoying youtube ads. It also has bookmark syncing that works quite well. I was able to import all of my Chrome bookmarks with no problems at all. I’m almost completely Google free, but still use search because nothing really compares
If you got access to GPT bases searches they are nearly always superior to google search nowadays, at least for what I am searching (although with a 10 per day limit usually)

Yes, I use GPT for question type searches and things like that, but still have to use a web search engine for other things. Still, nothing seems better than Google for the amount of info it returns. I've tried DDG, Bing, etc, and none of those search engines return enough variety

It doesn't really matter how long it was in ea, it's a great game, especially for the asking price. It blows away most AAA $60 - $70 games, but that's not saying much. Skull & Bones $70? 🤣

I wouldn't recommend buying this game right now unless your primary reason is to support the dev. It has many issues that seem like it will take a good year or so to iron them out. But it definitely has potential to be a great game

The best game I got from them recently (I think) was Ghostwire Tokyo. I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I can't stop playing it. It's fairly repetitive but I love the detail, the artwork, the eerie theme, music, etc. It's a simple game but the production quality is outstanding! I'm addicted!

MS can barely handle multi-monitor support. And in Win11, they totally broke the performance of switching virtual desktops. In Win10, it's nice and smooth. On 11, it stutters, screen goes blank, taskbar disappears, etc, etc. We're supposed to think that they'll execute this well enough to entice gamers to upgrade? 🤣

They need to remove Tribes from the name and absolutely remove the III. How can they say this is Tribes 3 when it plays nothing like 1 or 2? It just seems like an extension to Ascend. It's even more esports oriented than Ascend! Please, if you're going to put Tribes in the name, then at least name it Tribes: Ascend 2 so that it doesn't break my heart 😀
