Not to disagree with the article on some of the choices there, but at least for Edward Furlong, he isn't currently a blimp. He was just on the Season Premier of CSI NY, and wasn't large, creepy, but not large.

Guess they either didn't look real hard for pictures, or searched diligently for the worst possible pictures of the actors they could find.

My wife and I saw it on Saturday, and both loved it.

Again it falls into the Super Hero Sequel trap of too many bad guys/good guys, but they pulled it off. I wasn't confused at any point who someone was, or whose side they played for, which for an action/super hero movie is just fine.

Overall highly entertaining, good dialog, and a definite Buy-on-BR-Release day for us.

By "Play Discreetly" I would assume they mean the oh so super feature that they allow you to change the title of the window so it doesn't say Evony when it is minimized. Of course it still has the Evony Icon.

And pretty much there are no People in the game, women or men, just numbers. Aside from being able to pick your avatar, in which she is an available option. So I suppose if you figure there are a few basement dwelling nerds picking her picture as an avatar, then yes, she is in the game my lord! You should go find her and cyber her up!!! Puke

I have finally given Evony a try. After a week of playing Age I the one thing it made me think of, was that it was one giant College Project with the theme of "Create the best way to part people from their money in a 'Free' game".

Once I started looking at it that way, the whole thing made much more sense. The lack of certain features that one would expect from an "RTS" or from just a strategy game in itself. Literally the only point of the game is to be bigger than someone else. There is no satisfaction from any of the upgrades, just that guy is bigger than me, I need to be bigger. And That Guy is shoveling $30 or more per month into the game to stay bigger.

Everything about the gave is built to encourage you to spend a little here, or there. Even the "Quests" at the beginning are only there to teach you how useful the tools are, but they are only available after the beginning if you pay for them.

And I sh*t you not, for those that haven't played before, you cannot build any building completely without a specific tool, but you only get 1 at the beginning of the game. You might get one from the daily gift, but it has to be like a 1/1000 chance of getting 1. And if you do fork over the dough they are about $1 per. So you might think, meh a buck ain't that bad, till you realize there are 72 locations to have buildings, non of which can be upgraded completely without one.

Of course you don't know this when you first start. It is quite entertaining to realize how much of it was built just to get you to spend, but once you have played it, you realize that there are significant features that should be there to make a logical, fun game that are missing. They are missing because there was no way to monetize anything about the feature.

Anyway when I did decide to play it I came to Blue's and continually refreshed until I got one of the ads, just in-case it gave Blue something for the click-through and signup.

Student who was arrested for doodling on school desk sues city.

I read that multiple times as Drooling, I clicked the link trying to figure out why she would be arrested for Drooling, still read the title of the article as drooling, then when the article mentioned writing in a Lime green marker my brain finally figured it out.

Just testing my Avatar.

Edit: oh and I apparently beat everyone that has commented so far on registration date, although I think Enahs actually has me beat if I recall correctly, Enahs was a second account converted off an original, correct?

Damn-it, I had to actually create a Steam account.

Couldn't pass-up Kings Bounty "Gold" for less than $12. I will ahve to get Torchlight as soon as it goes on-sale with Steam again.

Thanks again Blue for the Sales Updates!

I am in Minnesota, and the wind is kicking the snow around so much, that if I tried to shovel it, you wouldn't be able to tell an hour later.

I am just going to work from home, and watch it out the window.

Tomorrow is supposed to feel like -30 (w/ windchill). Screw that!

I would have already bought Torchlight if it was on Impulse.

Just not willing to have multiple D2D providers, it would be like keeping my CDs in 2 different houses. I like simplicity and a one-stop shop for my D2D, plus at this point I trust Impulse.

I am impressed with the speed of the site now that the ads are gone. It is amazing how many sites have to wait for the ads before loading properly.

Thanks Blue for all the support of your readers.

I am really looking forward to this one as well. I was very surprised by the addictiveness of the remake.

The only problems I had with the Legend was a few CTDs that would hit me every once in a while, and a graphics slowdown glitch, that would clear itself up after about 5 minutes.

I have to agree with Cutter on this one. I picked up Kings Bounty a little bit ago and swear I put 100 hours into it. There hasn't been a game that had me addicted to playing it like that in a long, long time.

Actually TIVO Specifically tracks when the show is watched and reports skips and all back to the mother ship if connected.

I recall TIVO reporting that the titty-flash in that one Super Bowl Half-Time was the most rewatched event in their history, so I would imagine they also know if 90% of the TIVO audience skipped all the commercials of a specific broadcast.

I am not sure about the other Cable DVR, Dish and DirectTV options. I use Dish, but my DVR isn't connected to a land line (Who has land lines anymore???).

I am fairly confident that the primary Nielsen rating does not take into account DVRd shows that are watched at a later time, even for Nielsen Families.

Yah, my wife and I were just discussing this, as we both really enjoy Chuck and Better off Ted. It seems the more intelligent shows always seem to get canceled. We also really enjoyed Pushing Daisies, which also got axed. My theory is that the shows we really enjoy have a tendency to be aimed at a more intelligent audience, unfortunately the more intelligent these days use more advanced ways of watching their shows, i.e. DVR, Web, BitTorrent, etc. None of which count for Nielson ratings, which is what doom those shows.

So as Peteham said, we are stuck with crappy reality shows, crappy toilet humor sitcoms, and the occasional good show that changes their format and writing to crap to stay viable, ala Heroes.

I wonder if Castle will be back next year?

Yah, I figured out that there was some wind going on, when I headed home from work. The problem with working downtown on the 22nd floor, you can't really see the effects of the wind.

Oh come on Batman its only 45 degrees. While I agree that is warm enough to grill, and the lack of wind makes it an excellent day from grilling, I am still not sure I would be standing around on my deck.

I am still waiting to pick up a new grill after our storm season last year threw my last grill off my deck.

I used to use the Logitech Marble+ and ran with a Trackball for years. Used to swear by them. Then found I was actually more accurate and my wrists did better during marathon gaming sessions with a mouse, and switched back.

For me it was all in the Mouse pad, compared to a standard Pad or no pad the trackball had all the pros. When I started using a RatPad (the hard textured plastic) The Mouse was far superior in accuracy, and comfort.

I now use a G5 with I think 2 light and 1 heavy weight, and couldn't be happier. Having the adjustable sensitivity is great, and I find the extra weight in the mouse actually helps me with finer movements, where without weights the mouse wanted to fly across the desk.

Blue,

You work from your house don't you? Isn't Bathing somewhat optional?

Just make it an every-other day sort of thing, unless of course you are going out.

BTW, this post coming from someone who does get to work from home intermittently, yet I cannot start work at home until after I have showered, and fully dressed, as if I was going into the office.

I am in Minneapolis, and the -30 something windchill sucks.

I actually have frost build-up on the inside of my sliding glass doors. Every time I have to let the dogs outside the cold blast that hits me takes my breath away.
