But at the same time my 1st Gen Nexus 7 tablet can play GTA3 pretty smooth (I think, as I have never played it past the 1st mission because the controls just suck ass to me personally).

Question: How many of those 300 cars from Forza were 1)with the launch of the game, and 2) were part of DLC packs/Season pass? Or the VIP Pass or given out for free, or were exclusive if you had previous saved games or achievments from previous games. Easily over 100 cars just in the DLC packs.

Also they mention the 1000 cars in Gran Turismo. Do I really need to point out how GT5 had 100's of crap low quality cars, vs the premium cars, or still shitty damage modeling? GT5 Prolog was released in 2007 as a 'lite' version of the game with only 37 cars, and the 'rest' of the game was released in 2010. Also GT5 had 100 different versions of ricer's with the exact same body just different specs.

Or new driving physic's due to open wheel cars? And what about Maps? Forza 4 had a dozen or so maps, with dozen's of variations, but wouldn't even add them all to the playlists of games like Tag Virus. And even then I believe there was only 1 or 2 maps added to the over the entire life of the franchise because of the work involved to make them, and it fragmented the player base (was awesome to get point to point races back in Horizon's).

The article itself is just so... mindlessly... stupid? I mean it suffers from the 'screen door on a sub' mentality of being full of holes.

To me the game was great for 1 to 3 runs, but after that I was done with it, and sure as hell didn't want to run a 8th or 9th character back through the game for the loot.
Had they done some sorta universal patch with each DLC so (for example) you could use the DLC vehicles if the host had them in any part of the game that supported the vehicle type, would have been nice.

I'm not a console gamer but if someone gave me a PS4 I would take it and probably get some use out of it. That said, after I read the headline that Slurpee was giving away free Xbones it dawned on me that I wouldn't take one even if it were free.

Sure you would, and so would I...so we could turn around, sell them and use the money for something else.

I would feel so dirty though!

Prez with all the money you made you could buy the last few games on Steam that you don't have

There is even an achievement for it too!

The problem isn't AMD's design, it has always been with it drivers. Not playing the fanboi card or anything but ATI drivers have been a mixed bag for over a decade.

That movie ain't Robocop. Robocop's supposed to be, you know, a robot and not some cyborg ninja.

This. Also the suit looks absolutely horrible and nothing like the original robocop, which was completely badass. He is supposed to be 90% robot, not 90% gay...

Hey now I'd do him.. I mean it's all about the hardware right? *wink wink nudge nudge*

I was following Agents of Shield until I got rid of TV Cable to save money and can't say I was impressed at all. Just didn't have the Firefly/Buffy 'goodness' I was expecting.

I dunno I think I could handle it, if the suit was kept that sexy Stingray Corvette Blue through the entire movie like the first 2 movies (I don't count the 3rd).

The grocery bag puppets that sell movie tickets got a movie? The end of CGI is near!

I have found that aiming for the skydiving target (least in landing) is to keep your body aimed at the middle of the target and then when you get really close hit both bumpers (least on 360) and you can nail the landing every time.

Proper Mechwarrior/Crimson Skies game? Forza 5 on the PC?

Or are we going to get Vista exclusive Halo 2, and more craptacular ports of craptacular games like Fable 3?

2 weeks with no internet sucks, but my physical therapist says the tremors will go away soon enough.

That being said, Saints Row 4 and Batman Origins. Been playing them and is it me or is it year of the recycled sandbox game? Granted not very far into either, but it's hard to get excited over what feels like glorified expansion packs.
And Black Flag isn't bad, but borrowing a friends copy for the 360, the bugs were fairly glaring (I guess I didn't run the right path the game wanted me to at the start of the game to fight the Assassin, so I run right up to him and nothing happens and had to reload the game), the ship combat brings back some nail biting fun almost as good as the old Mechwarrior 4 days. And for some reason I really dig the shanty's.

It's so damn subtle that you wouldn't notice unless side by side, but color depth wise the Xbox version looks better, especially when approaching under the bridge

Assassin's Creed games are one of the few that I'll play on a console rather than the PC.

They're a guilty pleasure, to begin with, and playing them on the PC as a mediocre port just makes the shortcomings all the more glaring (for example, having a controller designed for dog paws makes the combat SOMEWHAT challenging, rather that dead boring).

Mediocre port? Hell the AC series is what brought Ubisoft back to the PC table, taking the extra time and effort to make the PC versions of the series a shitload better then the console versions. I guess you didn't see the Nvidia Black Flag post today?
I had the 360 version of 3 and traded it in without finishing it due to console limitations, but the PC version is fucking sexy as hell.

As for the game controls they have been unchanged until AC3, and even then your preference of controls has nothing to do with 'mediocre port', it's just one of the games that is better suited for a controller then a mouse/kb.

But at the same time Xbox One runs off another version of Windows, so really beyond hardware, how the hell is it hard to develop for?
Wasn't that the big huge thing with the 360, as the games could be easily ported to PC?

16. Re: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag PC Trailer Oct 29, 2013, 16:09 The Half Elf

Had a fun moment last night. Had a friend over who hasn't played any console games since N64, and I showed them the library of games on my 360 and told them to pick whatever they wanted. They started up Assassin's Creed 2. They did really well for someone not use to 2 stick controllers. Got through the tutorial phase and actually put on the assassin's outfit and blades, and asked me to show them the finesse of the controls when a npc stole our money pouch and ran off. The NPC was dressed in the typical red pantaloon outfit and hat. Chase follows across the rooftop with me doing an aerial assassination of the thief. My friend yells out 'Dude ya just killed the apple from fruit of the loom!' Thankfully I only spit beer out of my mouth and not my nose.
