I tried loading both of the Radar Group websites and got a generic hosting service page stating they weren't up anymore.
Considering my disappointment with buying STALKER off of Steam recently (the inaccurate firearms kill it for me, and my Bully on 360 is having issues so I have to wait for a patch there) I went ahead and bought the first Prey on Steam since I never played past the demo. 20 bucks for a mindless shooter for a few hours works for me.

At least they gave enough advance warning for me to put my order in with Doc for a Flux Capacitor to power the computer needed for this one.

If even 75% of the resources we've spent towards making realistic water were reallocated elsewhere over a period of five or ten years, I truly believe we'd be able to live and farm on Mars right now. Apparently it is the most researched element of all time.

I've had it almost since the beginning and love it. True, the online play for games that weren't meant to have it like SF3:Alpha is akin to play through Kali online. But the fact it has tons of games like Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex, and Torment without me having to keep discs around is great. And they're moving into Saturn emulation too - Bug was just released. This isn't counting the exclusives.
Overall I'd easily recommend it, especially for the price.

Dammit, I've been listening to him since Saturday Teenage Kick first came out years ago and he sounded sorta like Fat of the Land Prodigy. I don't know what to feel about this.

Yeah, they never say that it's not coming out for PC. They just refuse to confirm it, try to throw some smoke up via other games, and say they have nothing further to annouce at this time.

I agree with the Souce engine statement, sponge. It was nice at first, but I fail to see where the years and years of dev time were spent on it since so many other companies were able to come up with equal, if not better, engines in much shorter amounts of time it seems.
No response back to venom because it's not worth the effort. Just figured I'd acknowledge that I had read his "response".
*edit* Oh, and I think Sin is decently entertaining so far, but nothing groundbreaking in the least.

Let's see. Each ep of Emergence is probably going to be around 5-7 hours. If we go on the short end and say 5 hours, and then do the math you end up with a FPS that's about 12 and a half hours long which isn't too bad.
Not to mention you don't have to buy the entire thing. So if, say, most of one ep takes place in a setting you don't want to do, you don't have to buy it. For instance, with Doom 3 I would have bought the beginning, skipped the middle part, and bought the hell eps, bypassing the entire middle section. It's not feasible to do so though so I had to play crap for the entertaining parts.
I fail to see where it isn't at least competitive with the pricing for most stand alone games.

I had a bit of interest in this game but now that's all gone out the window. There's no way in hell I'm supporting SOE for any reason after what they've done to their games.

While it hasn't exactly gotten huge amounts of press or sales, I've always been a fan. If they don't screw this up it could be interesting.

I think the game isn't half bad if you can have a fairly consistant group to play with. Considering the time I'm around during the week is from 10 AM until about 2 PM that seriously limits how many others are on and how easily I can get a group, which is a necessity.

You fail in your guessing. I'm an adult with a sub to Fileplanet, 6Meg Cable, and I also sub to World of Warcraft and Gametap.
I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but if you can't work out at least $100 a month on entertainment without it stopping you from having a social life/eating groceries as well, you might want to hit up www.monster.com

The actual gameplay itself was sorta weak and shoddy. But just running around in it like a sandbox was strangely entertaining to me.
Then again, maybe after a long day of work, I just want to pull a home invasion, make people cry, take someone's head off with a shovel, and burn the place down. That shouldn't be too much to ask.
