Max Payne 2 or the original? Is there a Demo floating around for it? I don't buy unless I can play a Demo, my faith in the game development community is a bit shaky at the moment.

Wow... Leisure Suit Larry... I remember playing that in conjunction with the Sierra Space Quest Series of games. Be kinda interesting to see Larry in 3D and his groovy 80's environments.

I had a Gameday/LAN party over the weekend with my friends and we messed around with the HALO MP portion of the Demo and I have to say we had an absolute blast! I still find the SP portion of HALO a big yawn but when HALO reaches sub $30 prices I'll pick it up just for the MP.

"Maybe you're too 'furious' to understand." Yeah... ok... I understand there is a $50+ version which is ludicris.. I think I was 'furious' enough to read and understand that... which you even state in your post.
"If you hate Unreal so much, then don't buy it."
K, thanks, dually noted.

Beamer wrote "The main reason people buy new sports games is for the new rosters."
BINGO!! People look up to sports figures, they idiolize them, they want to be like them when they grow up. When a sports game comes out people get a chance to control their 'idol' or bring their favorite team to the World Series or Super Bowl. Every year, for the most part, a teams roster changes and people wan to emulate that new team, I know I was trying to re-create the FSU Seminoles game against the Miami 'Canes... but with the same outcome.. UTxKx does not have that personal draw.

I hear what your saying HoSpanky (it's funny just to have to type that name.. hehe). It just floors me they have the gall to charge $50+ for this game (expansion) and then give ONLY $10 back to those who foolishly bought the piece of crap that was UT2K3. Barring the people who can wait till the price drops to expansion level prices, Epic is just ripping off dedicated customers who have already bought more than half of UT2K4. I paid for Assualt in the Original UT, and now they are trying to also use that as a 'carrot'. Too many good games coming out for them to be jerking the community around.

And another thing, why do customers have to pay an ADDITIONAL $20 for a training modules (don't get me started on a little $0.05 sticker)? Fans who make MODS for your games are doing YOU (Epic) more of a favor then you are for they. The friggin training Modules should be FREE for MOD Developers you idiots. God, Epic just lost a customer for life.

Gee, wow, $10 dollars off, I'm so gonna buy this now... kidding of course. Maybe we should be getting the [happy] game for 1/2 price instead, since we only got 1/2 a game with UT2k3. I can't support this company or the UT brand anymore, they are just ripping off comsumers and fans with half ass releases then try to cash in more one year later. Jerks.

Warcraft 3 actually has the RTS/RPG done, if they made it such that you could pick one of the hero's in the game and play that character then you'd have the FPS part done. That certainly would have made the game (WC3) very interesting although it was fun anyways. On the flip side, Savage has the RTS/FPS done, if they made it such that you could collect and keep items then they would have the RPG element done. Maybe thats the next new thing, FPS/RTS/RPG.

Well, whether the game sucks or not (I haven't had a chance to check it out yet), my hats off to S2 Games for getting a retail game on store shelves with six people, thats pretty impressive in my book.
Cheers, Furious

"Valve probably has a bunch of computers, if they only separated the development computers from the internet completely (by actual cables and not software)."
Yeah, I agree. Fragment your friggin network man. Have one LAN not internet connected for Dev and one LAN for web surfing communicating. If Gabe had the full source tree on his PC then shame on him. I do feel bad for valve, but use some common sense, jeez.

So there's been a lot of outrage about it? I just haven't been following it much at all really so I honestly don't know. I personally think it's a ludicris idea to make someone HAVE TO have an active internet connection to play a GAME. Silliness...

"Very nice. It also allows you to see if the person you are chatting to is in a game, view the game's info, and join that game from the IM if you wish."
That is certainly a cool feature. I just feel that this Steam stuff is making playing a simple game FAR to complex. I'm not sure what the outrage has been at the need to be online (active internet connection) to play the SP version of HL2 or any other HL2 SP game or MOD but if Microsoft tried pulling this stunt I can only imagine the size of the complaining/hate thread that would be generated. But I guess if I want to play NS with my clan then I'll HAVE TO upgrade to Steam. And Microsoft is evil??? LoL.

Yeah, as a matter of fact it will. My clan mate can't play NS now cause he upgraded to Steam.
Edit: Made comment about the quoted statement being smart ass without really knowing so I took out my flame.
