I get my post deleted because I give an opinion on Imus which wasn't even inflammitory As far as I can tell, no post has been deleted by anyone in weeks. Also, deleted posts don't actually disappear but are replaced by a note that they're "removed".
Which thread was that, and are you sure you actually committed the post?

No, every site has a fair chance (assuming they let us know about their content, because we can't possibly check every gaming site out there ). We don't judge whether a site is small or big, we just look at the news value of their content. That means hands-off previews that rehash already known information about a game get skipped. But if you check our daily Game and Hardware Reviews listings, you'll see that the smaller sites make up the majority of the entries there - because everyone has (or is assumed to have) the same access to the finished products, and their opinions are equally worthy of your attention (provided the writing meets a minimum quality level, of course  ).
I hope this takes away your concern; we're not biased towards any site, big or small, only towards news value.

ouch, I bet the Max Payne demo is going to be painful to the ftp servers when it comes out.
Any Half-Life / Counter-Strike patch release (especially because there are so many files) causes the participating sites to be hammered very heavily for the first day or so. I imagine the Max Payne demo will have close to the same effect, yeah.
I don't even want to contemplate the strain that a new Doom test demo will cause.

Under "Why didn't you print that thing I sent you?" it lists:
Your preview was hands-off and contained no new screenshots, or it was based on a publicly released demo.
The point is that such previews contribute no new textual or visual information about an upcoming game, and are usually based on other previews or the official site(s). We feel that such previews are thus of little or no news value, so we skip them.
Previews on 'corporate sites' usually contain hands-on experiences, quotes from the developers and new screenshots, because they do have access to this kind of information for the very reason that they are established sites. That's just the way the gaming industry works these days.
So while there are always exceptions both ways, we tend to report more on these kinds of previews than those at smaller sites, as the only criterion is the article's news value, however commendable the effort that any site puts in their articles.

There is one possible exception though; I thought the demo for The Fallen was pretty interesting
Yup, and I pointed that out to Loony after I played it late last year, but I guess he needed more convincing. Why else would he bring up the topic again half a year later?

On another note, Blues News seems to be much slower loading lately than it has been in the past. New host?
No changes were made or are planned for the server or our connection - and for me the site loads just as speedy as always (well, since we got this new board, anyway)
