to just let users configure any key they want? It bugs the fuck outta me that some games let you config Fkeys, and others don't even tho they have no default uses.
The numpad thing is also silly, and then theres the left/right differentiation of the modifier keys.

You have just stated 2 things:
1) realizing that you can be wrong sometimes. . . hey it's only human right?
2) the will to self improve.
shitty drivers will never admit to the first. They'll cross 3 on the freeway lanes to exit, they whip in and out of traffic, bla bla bla. . . but in a wreck, THESE people don't learn their lesson. they will take it to court and tell all their friends that YOU PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF THEM.

1) For the longest time i was an anti-fan of the site as i'd felt some sort of personal wrongdoing from Blue, but this is not the kind of thing you'd wish on anyone. period. I sincerely hope everything works out for Blue and family.
2) Conversely, having been given a quite different perspective on the site since about year ago, I want to congratulate you, Blue, on having attracte such an intelligent and mature group of individuals to your work.
This is the kinda thing that shows just who your friends are. And apparently you have thousands every day.
Again my best hopes for your mom and the rest.

we know it's years old cuz it's what we do every day. If you don't know it, then you don't know it.
Did you know that there's a new deluxe set of Staetler drafting pencils? Yeah, they're great... but they've been out for a couple years.
If his friend, also non gamer, was reading the sunday ads, and saw Max Payne on sale at walmart. . . and he goes "wtf?" and tells his pal.
If you're a former wrestler, Im sure most of your day is spent drinking beer and watching television with maybe the ocassional appearance. . . . a realm of life nowhere near video games and computers.
I'd lay money that if he even DOES have a computer that it's 5 years old.
edit: oh uh, i'm not justifying saying he should win, i'm just giving perspective. . . a 50-60 yr old former wrestler quite literally may have had no idea this game existed until last week. Should he win? No. I think remedy et. al. can prove lack of intention. will he get some kind of out-of-court settlement? Probably. <100k. EVERYONE will be happy in that case. plaintiff lawyer gets his payday, Maxx Payne gets an extended retirement and more beer, 3dr et. al. make him go away for cheap.

I could NOT get started playing that silly thing. it would have sucked away my whole day, which i can ill afford (=
the doa pics: it's softcore porn. people pay more than $3 for shitty Pay per view for playboy channel movies and their ilk... so which is worse?
of course, when you consider that the doaboobs unclothed look wierd and non-boob shaped (i saw pics of it elsewhere), then spending $3 on that (as opposed to say a Happy Meal) is the worse of the 2.

The way the US armed forces pasted over the iraqi army, i don't see how this mod will be any fun. . .
I mean, if it's anywhere near "true to life" the iraqi forces will be vastly outgunned.
Yes, i realize that it's JUST A GAME and they're putting shit-tons of work into making a fun and different addon. TBH i'll probably try it out. But the premise doesn't seem that sound.

actually: as posted, i just meant is as a true statement (=
Commercially Op4 was a success as was blue shift. as a player i hated op4 (for reasons i won't go into) and blue shit was decent i guess, if not short.
Playing as a HARM agent could mean 2 things. . .
1) it'll be fun to see the game from 'the other side of the fencc" as you put it (kinda)
2) maybe we'll finally find out wtf the HARM letters stand for (=

framerate SEEMS ok... but 1) theres only 2 rooms + a hallway & ductwork. I couldn't tell if the textures were normal mapped or not (prob are)... there wasn't a whole lot of depth to anything really.
it demonstrates the tech, but it seemed flat... literally and figuratively.
