That's what the screenshots, and the game directory, are called. It was announced as Project Earth 2..
Anyway, those screens really look out_of_this_world. Awesome. Just the atmosphere could use some volumetric fogging effects instead of a transparent layer (looks horrible at the edges).

SLAY: Slaughter |

The title is over the top, I'm happy it's not just another game named after the main character. Serious Sam, Will Rock, Max Payne .. it's easy to put Sly Slaughter in there as well. All looks really slick only the framerate is horrible, and changing the video details makes the game crash
Especially the particle effects are awesome. Top notch.
Otherwise it's cool, instead of medkits they have actuals hearts with blood gushing out of them! Rocket launcher is cool, and the NOLF-like machine gun is also cool. Nice sound effects. Hope they fix up the speed of the engine.

I assume it's done in the Doom3 engine. Hope it gets shown at this year's E3 (just like Fakk2 and EF were shown before Q3 was released).
But this is *not* that Quest game, right?
*edit* Oh right, that's being done by Nerve (the vanilla RTCW multiplayer guys);
Secret Project Nerve is currently crafting concepts and ideas, in collaboration with Id Software, for an as-of-yet untitled entirely new franchise. In the future, look for a multi-player, co-operative focused game using Id technology, unlike anything you've seen before.

The game is powered by Valve's in-house developed graphics engine, called Source. So no Q3 engine As I suspected!...
About Doom3 being able to render large outdoor areas, that a load. It can, any game can, but that doesn't mean it's practical. The engine isn't designed for that, in fact, with the 'unified lighting' and everything, I wonder how they're going to get the sky shader to emit light without completely halting any spitbucket under K8-4Ghz/Radeon 20K. I saw a movie of the intro of Doom3, briefly showing some outdoor areas (Blue will probably nuke me for this), and it looked like Quake2's outdoor areas, confined by unclimbable rocks and buildings.

There's bullshit and there's this guys' shit.
Of course the ads are tuned locally..! Websites do it all the time. It's smart. I don't want to know about some Brazilian farmer's home-made jelly (because I'm not from there). By localizing advertisements they open up the market for local retailers to advertise their products.
Oh, fear and lo.. it's the nerdy idiots from the Inquirer again!

they seem to be the tabloids of the internet news world. You may just as well be talking about the inquirer (they share the same site layout, anyway)..
About Athlon 64, it's a bit of a disappointment. I really hope that the final chips in september will overpower this one (dated january) by a lot, or that there will be higher clockspeeds available, otherwise, they still don't gain any ground on Intel.

Yeah, right.
'Real time' means they can put the actor's into a rough version of the cgi background very fast. So it's not real time. It's just a little mobile special fx studio that they can take to the set, it's nothing special at all.
It's going to be much more like what Carmack said. Game engines will be used for movies within the next five to ten years.
