HomeLAN - First, why did the majority of Infinity Ward?s members wish to leave 2015 to form their own company?
Todd Alderman - Infinity Ward is a large team of highly motivated game developers. We?re here for the sole purpose of making the best games possible. That's beautiful.

A Good Thing (TM). Wrong, a bad thing.
How are we going to have gameplay evolution when we can switch to Quake3 style graphics without a cheat? Taken of course that those shadows really will play an important gameplay role.

The Nvidia brand will be the best for this game. That is what the first tests suggested. I think it's only fair to assume a more reliable test will be that of the official demo with contemporary hardware drivers. I'm curious what CPU will be best for running D3. I'm going to buy an Athlon64, I just hope that is the right choice
*edit* You're right Wharfrat, that's exactly what I thought when I saw that review

Playing NOLF1 once again..
This looks good. Sure it's still the pre-HL2/D3 gen, but it sure as hell keeps up with the current, *released*, graphical max (Unreal2?).
i find slamming my penis in the door to be more fun than NOLF1 and 2. Really? I never tried doing that.. But if it's more fun than NOLF1 and 2, then Wow! I'm in for quite an experience!

No really, about CZ. I think it's going to bomb. If it's anything less than counter-strike, the free mod, people going to shrug it off and the game's sales are going to remain low. The reason that I think it's not going to be able to surpass the original is that a lot of games have tried in the past, and what advantages does Ritual have over those developers? Ritual doesn't have experience making a tactical, realistic shooter (in fact, the opposite). Some of those other developers, like Raven, had.
Consequently, one could fear for Ritual's future. It takes only one half miss and it can already be over in this biz (like Rogue).

Pretty ugly, yeah.
Ah well, Q3Engine licencees aren't going to be top-rated/super-talented/high-financed developers forever.. Time for some of those Doom3Engined games to show off some screens
PS: They better watch out, Blizzard is going to sue their asses for such a name

TO = Twinsens Oddysey (sic)
;) Oh right, that was it. I played LBA2 a couple of times, I loved the way it was funny, and not too hard. Plus the storyline was just so cool. I'm going to buy EF2 as soon as I have the budget. I hear some people complaining of bugs in the game, has there been any word of a patch?

Re: nv vs ati |

I'm with you on that one. I'm upgrading my system when Doom3 hits as well. I think ati and nv both know a lot of gamers are doing this, and they're working their butts off to be the fastest then.
Nitpicking, that article is from July 3rd, not March 7th.. (I don't think Blue would post a 4 month old review, plus the 5900 wasn't out then, yet.). So that makes TH's article 2 months older than GamePC's one. Too bad the articles from Tom's Hardware and GamePC don't use the same games for benchmarking. I wonder how much is being skewed with that to make one card turn out faster. And then what site is doing which manufactorer are favour. A quote from the GamePC conclusion:
We really wanted to see the GeForceFX 5900 Ultra succeed, but unless we see some major innovation by board manufacturers, along with dropping prices and increased performance via driver updates, ATI will continue to dominate the gamer's market with the Radeon 9800 series. That doesn't sound too pro-Ati (unless they're being sarcastic).
But this is all senseless. When reliable Doom3 benchmarks hit, I'll read about a gazillion reviews, and then make up my mind and when there's not a clear winner, I'll let the pricing and availability decide.

Heh, thought nvidia would've caught up to ati by now. Absolutely not.
And to think this all came to pass because nvidia decided to invest development time in the chip for the xbox. Wonder how much money they've won/lost by that. And how things would have been when not nvidia but ati had made the xbox chip.

Take 'em all
That russian thing is a direct copy of the beach mission of MOH. Except for the planes, the script is exactly the same. Not necessarily a bad thing after all, that was one of the best missions ever made, but still it's a bit sad to see Infinity just copy their previous work.
That aside, it looks great, bigger explosions, better effects, desertors executions, what else could one wish for?

I'd go with Opera. It's a very lightweight, userfriendly interface with very easy options on how to turn off unwanted popups (such as the option: "Open requested popup-windows only" allows you to surf sites which use popups in their interfaces, but only when you actively click a javascript new window link). I also like the mousegestures and plethora of shortcut keys for fast browsing, but that's not a universally loved feat.
