264. Re: Can't find DVD error Oct 22, 2005, 02:21 Plissken

Found the problem, it was the SONIC software that came bundled with my DVDRW, specifically the DLA(drive letter access) part of the installation. Once uninstalled, game works perfect now.

Are you trying to install a COPY of the game?
Of course it won't work.

Come'on Batman, I know better than that. I bought the Special DVD Edition at Bestbuy today. I actually had this same problem with Doom 3 when I installed it from the DVDRW, but once I uninstalled Doom 3 & reinstalled it from the DVD reader, it worked fine. This time I can't correct the issue.

I've never had this problem with any other games, just Doom 3 & now Quake 4. I tried to update the firmware on both DVD's but that didn't work either.

256. Can't find DVD error Oct 21, 2005, 20:13 Plissken

Installed Quake 4 from DVDRW. Tried to run, comes up with the following error: "Please insert the Quake 4(TM) DVD, select OK and restart the application"

Uninstalled, deleted id folder, cleaned registry, rebooted, reinstalled off of DVDROM, same error.

Anyone got any ideas?

CNN, which is very biased to the left, just in a very subtle way, posts alot of AP stories. I believe about 50% on average are from the Associated Press.

Compare CNN & Fox's AP articles of the same report and what you'll notice is that CNN guts the story occasionlly, only printing half of it. The difference is that CNN shapes the report(by omission)so that after reading it and then speculating on it, you come up with the opinion they want you to have. I read both CNN & FOX daily & I've noticed this for awhile now.

Quicktime & Real Player should both die a quick death. Trying to watch a video in Real Player and watching the progress bar display "Buffering 28%...Buffering...Buffering...Buffering 32% " for five minutes is as exciting as watching Defrag on Windows 95.

About the Halsy comment in reference to the Pope being a mass murderer, you have to realize that this is the same person that referred to former President Reagan as a "prick" after his death.

After reading his posts here for awhile, I've realized that Halsy has such blind hate for anything & anyone that he disagrees with that he makes baseless comments like this and obviously needs professional psychiatric help.

This is the same person that when you argue with him here and prove him wrong on a point he resorts to pointing out grammatical errors you make in your comments and starts the personal attacks and calls you profane names and labels you in derogatory terms. He does everything the "Left" abhors.

37. Missed the boat Jan 26, 2005, 13:46 Plissken

3DR missed the boat in 2000/2001 when there wasn't much out to play (imo).

I kinda figured they were waiting for Doom 3 & Half Life 2 to come out to take some of the pressure off. Now that both said games are out, here's their chance. If DNF doesn't ship by the holiday season of 2005 I believe it'll never come out.

What a coincidence, it's the same thing he would have done to al Qaeda if he was in office, too!

The post of all posts! Excellent

beave, your pessimism and cynicism merits you a role in Halsy's private reality. I hereby appoint you Adminal Ackbar, squid-man for the Rebel Alliance.

You & Batman are killing me today, I think I've laughed more today than all last week

I have no idea who that is. Unlike you and ZigZag, I don't play with dolls. You're not George Bush are you? Between his stupidity and yours I can't tell the difference.

Wow, you really are the bitter loser today.

BTW Ghyslain, here's your doll, DF.

Josh, ZigZang, Spanker, Plissken, they have a collective IQ which still isn't in the triple digits if you double it, and their collective education isn't in the double digits if you double it. They give new meaning to "bottom of the barrel". It would be funny if they weren't so pathetic.

Well Halsy, I've done well enough in life that I'm living the American dream, insult me all you want, your no better than anyone else, you just think you are.

127. New newspaper Nov 3, 2004, 12:56 Plissken

The Halsy Times

Bush regime responsible for extra hurricanes in Florida in attempt to disenfranchise the vote. Secret leaked memos detail how Halliburton conspired with sleeper spies in the NOAA to divert four Hurricanes this year to Florida and another memo directly implicates Dick Cheney in the Mount St. Helens eruption back in 1980.

It has been reported that John Edwards has already put together a Class Action Lawsuit against all nationwide weather stations, the entire Bush Administration & the GOP and anyone that ever voted Republican. Sources say Edwards will ask for reparations for anyone that has ever had to cancel anything due to rain or snow; cancellation dates are valid from 1776 to the closing of the polls on Election Day, 2004.

Which election were you watching? This wasn't a landslide by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, let's see, any past election that a Democrat won by a margin of at least a million votes, the media calls it a landslide win, I guess only the Dems can have a landslide victory.

And by the way, it won't make your signature any less ridiculous, but you'd look a little more intelligent if you fixed the "its."

Resorting to pointing out grammer errors, hmmmm...must be that time of the month for you.
