The people with the issue are not missing a damn thing... Why? Because there are only 6 fucking BF2:SF servers available, and they are all running on someones crappy aDSl connection...
Why the fuck couldn't EA have some servers running the expansion?! 
EDIT-
Anyone else catch word (or has anyone installed).....if you install SF can you still play BF2?
I was told no????
I don't have it, so I can't try.
Yeah you can play single player but it doesn't look like anyone has fucking patched the servers yet, including EA...

I am assuming that you need to have 3GB of space on your C: drive because the installer is extracting the files to the windows default temp directory. If you have set up a small partition on your C drive (like myself) I suggest you change your default windows Temp directory. This is easily done by following the instructions below...
Right Click -> My Computer -> Properties-> Advanced-> Environmental Variables
Change the User Variables and the System variables for TEMP and TMP to a new Temp directory on another partition.
It's that easy...

ehhehee Back to school for additional education. Another year to add to my 4 year degree. So, three courses, class all day saturday, trying to buy a house, planning a wedding, moved in with fiance' in July. I would take 2 kids over all of this anyday!
I would contnue this pissing contest, but I was just busting your balls in the first place. I know what priorities are, and it seems like you do too!

Most of our members are of the non-traditional adult age. A lot of us have been very busy.
Lately I have only been around for 1-2 hours a week and then out matches. (Won last night) We do need new DeV members if interested! With the semester ending, I will have some extra time to jump on.
Please don't give me that busy semester BS... I have a wife, 2 kids, a full time job, and I can still make time to play.

So they're going to reward people who buy the expansion by giving them overpowered weapons for use against people who didn't buy the expansion!? These guys are really starting to piss me off. This isn't a damn MMORPG, stop treating it like one.
Good! I should be rewarded for spending 30 bucks on an expansion pack. I was going to hold off on this but now I'll pick it up.

While I can understand why people would be upset to see a favorite franchise change... It's been how many years now and people are still bitching about the changes? Move on already - there are other racing games out there.
I enjoyed the demo simply because I am a sucker for an arcade racer. BUT, I wish I was able to bind the acceleration and brakes to my analog flippers.

I'd love to play BattleFront2...can someone provide some good reviews, saying the bots work?
My opinion based on the BETA, great ideas but poor execution.
I don't care for the player movement or the feel of the weapons. The maps I did play sucked...
Still there are some great ideas in the game - dive/roll/dodging is cool and the space battles are kinda fun.
I bought the first BAttlefront because everyone on here was raving about it and I was really dissapointed in it. I was hoping the sequal would be better but it's not...
Tribes2 is still the best IMO.

Honestly I don't understand how a game like quake 4 can come out and people can keep a straight face while playing it. It's completely inferior in every regard and it suffers from consolitis. I really thought that Raven would do something more with the engine. But they did what ID software would do. They made a game that is completely uninspired and derivative and it is inferior in almost every way to games like HL 2, FEAR, and Far Cry.
Consolitis? Please, not even... it's the same id formula as before.
Inferior to Far Cry? Yeah, I completely agree. Inferior to HL2? Maybe so. Inferior to FEAR?! That's funny, FEAR doesn't do anything really innovative either.
I play it with a stright face because it's fun. I doubt you know what fun is though since you seem to be more worried about graphics and innovation.

You missed my point... You know, the part where I wrote about gameplay and atmosphere.
I knew that I should have made bullet points outlining all of the differences... but I assumed people would understand me when I said that the atmosphere and gameplay between Doom 3 and Quake 4 are different. That's my fault for assuming.
I'm not trying to convince you that it's a good game by comparing it to CoD. I'm simply trying to convey how the gameplay and atmosphere in Quake 4 are more comparable and applicable to CoD.
Both Doom and Quake are futuristic Sci-Fi games... I think that it is understandable that they would have similar looking environments. That said, so far I think the Strogg environments in Quake4 remind me more of Quake2 than they do Doom3.
