As for save scumming, it all depends on how you play. If you're going for a true ghost playthrough (no killing/incapacitating anyone)
True ghost is even harder than that - no detection, no incaps, no kills. Managing no detection is incredibly difficult on some of the missions so that's definitely one I wouldn't want to try without save scumming.
q[If your self-imposed rules are more flexible and you're okay with getting into fights, then relying on the autosaves alone is fine.

Have you even played with the latest beta's let alone 1.6 patch?
The change/fix list is staggering and probably 50+ fixes they don't list.

You'd rather not have anti-aliasing, high resolution textures or modding capabilities? You'd rather have longer load times, be forced to use a controller and have to put the disk in each time? So much for you being a PC gamer through and through".
Meh, not really concerned. PC gamer through and through, but GTA is the type of game that's better on a console.
At launch, I was able to play with my E8500@3.8GHz and GTX260 @1920x1200 on high-very high settings, staying around 35-40FPS outside.

Um.. why is the Space Shuttle absent from the History of Aviation?

Besides the obvious what is it? An etching from thousands of years ago? some organic mass? Why is it in a crucified pose? If the Space jockey has access to the type of equipment he was found in why would he carve a rock? That kind of history recording died out a while ago.
Perhaps it was a primitive warning from an ancestor or some other species. Ridley Scott has been waffling about whether an actual alien will be in the movie in some form or not but it's a safe bet they will explore them in some way if the space jockeys are a big part of things. Maybe we'll discover they weren't trying to warn us but instead were trying to direct the aliens somewhere else. It's been rumored that they bio-engineered the xenomorphs as a weapon of mass destruction and that theory makes sense in the context of finding so many egg thingies on their ship in the first movie.
Anyway really looking forward to Prometheus! Cast looks excellent, hope Scott still has his A game.

No, but you are on the right track.

Apparently so, reminds me of the first version of CitiesXL. Not good at all.

I believe EA owns Populous... so i doubt we'd see a modern rendition, unless EA decides to take the plunge.
They're working on it atm - going to be a new cover based FPS.
But at lest it does not have regenerating health - if you need more health there is a DLC for you!

New area!?
Why, is the GoT world lacking in some way that the game designers couldn't address their stories within it?
So the game designers here get to stick their cocks into GRM's work and splooge disease the shit out of what is otherwise a perfectly good story world.
What massive fucking egos you would have to have to think that this is necessary.
You don't see people adding areas to the LotR saga. Here is ThumbsBranch, located south of the Shire, it is where all hobbits beat their wives.
It's not funny to think that some belligerent retard at Cyanide (is that foreshadowing I see in print?) believes it's necessary.
Moreover, why the fuck is a sworn member of the nights watch romping around instead of standing on the wall?
Oh that'll be part of the original story, right?
Yeah, totally original.
Why not approach this whole concept as an open ended RPG, rather than develop something I'd expect from EA?
Good fucking grief this industry never changes.
Castlewood. Don't tell me... it's a castle, in the woods. /facepalm

I just don't see this working out.
I love Martin's work...but it doesn't really make me want to play games based on it.
But as for his books, he's probably my favorite author and has been for quite some time.
