Sony just doesn't get it. Who cares if they catch the people who did this? The damage is done. We want our data secure!

Banks keep money in a vault for a reason. They don't leave it sitting at the front door. This "blame it on the hackers" is nonsense. If the data is secure this is no hack.

If you don't catch the people who did it, you're encouraging more people to do so. It might be Sony today, but it could be Microsoft tomorrow, Apple next week, Citibank or Bank of America in a month or two (again... each of them's been hit in the past). If somebody thinks they can do something and get away with it, what's to stop them?

Yes, the hackers need to be caught. However, had Sony designed their network from a secure perspective the hack most likely would not have occurred. That Sony continues to try and shift the blame from themselves is yet another example of how little Sony thinks of its own customers. Nothing has changed in Sony's mindset since the rootkit thing, which is pretty pathetic.

Sony needs to find out who did it and hire them.

You'll have to wait a long, long time for that. The devs have already confirmed that there will be no children in the game.

Looks like it's back to Fallout 2 for me.

Don't you DARE give Valve bad reviews. Did you read Notches blog about Valves response to his April 1st online store gag. He put it shortly as- misquote here but... ~"Don't mess with Valve."

an underground world of illicit, high-stakes racing

Can someone just make a damn remake of Street Rod?

Come on!

And dont mess it up please!

There was this game called "Street Legal" that incorporated actual engine and body building. Game was awful but the idea of putting different parts together to build a nice motor was fun.

When I think of garbage combat on the PC I think of Gothic 2, I tried and tried and tried but felt it needed a controller.

Good thing you never played Gothic 1. blah blah blah

blah blah blah.

Maybe I'll try it again this weekend. The game sounded awesome I think I had the 3rd person action mentality to it.

Do people forget what RPG combat on the PC was like in it's not that long ago days? How is clicking the mouse button different from any other game? Hot keys and click based attacking.

When I think of garbage combat on the PC I think of Gothic 2, I tried and tried and tried but felt it needed a controller.

By the way is this game out already? Got some friends playing it right now, and no they are not pirates, they are game devs, so I doubt they would pirate the game.

And Catholic school kids are the best behaved children around because they go to Catholic school.

Shareware, something that needs a comeback.

It could never come back as the same type of thing, but certainly its success should be looked at as a persuasive argument to make more demos.

Indie games are pretty much shareware. Get the demo, like it, click unlock and buy the whole game.

Keep in mind that the last Hitman came out in 2006, before developers started using CoD4 as "inspiration" for all their design choices. At this point, I'm praying that IO does not do the same.

Hrmmm I didn't actually think about that. Maybe they'll just hold your hand through the missions, I don't think it'll turn into a auto health regen/cover based shooter. The white board seems to have some thought put into it. I always reinstall the games once or twice a year for another play through. Might only get 3 installs on the new version haha.

One of my favorite game series. Can't wait to see what's new; if you can't screw a game series up in 4 attempts it can only get better.

And it's 100% a console port. Obviously. What matters is whether that fact inhibits the gameplay on the PC. Other than (apparently) none of the puzzles being twitch-based, I don't think so, but I haven't played the PC version a whole lot yet.

Giving it a zero because it says "Don't turn off console" is stupid, but otoh, Valve's entire multi-billion dollar fortune has been obtained from PC gamers, and they could have at least spent a FEW fucking hours on removing those 'console' references. The game was in development for like five years, I'm sure they could have had one intern do a "CTRL+F - 'console'" right?

Creston

It's still hilarious that people could have test played it over and over and over and not said "Hey isn't this a going to be a PC game too?"

It's like buying a "Happy birthday dad!" card for your mom.
