I believe I read a WHILE ago that MS closed their Flight Sim dept. This is not supposed to be anything like MSFS just a flying game. The only thing this application simulates is the feeling of having actual fun.

I wonder if, with the increased budget, if this will push the "ship" date. I guess I'd be a little surprised if it didn't...October isn't that far off, and they don't get the funds until March (granted, they could easily be laying the groundwork now).

Hopefully it does, I wouldn't mind them taking any extra time needed.

I always used the impulse 200 command in CS because I hated how much of the screen was a gun model.

So do people vote on this or do they just submit what their marketing budget was?

I saw one once where the chick basically got all their family and friends into a room to drop it on him because he wouldnt ask. I mean, what else are you going to say in circumstances like that? You don't want to look like a douche so you pretty much have to say yeah. However, the moment we were alone I'd drop her like a bad transmission!
That kind of emotional assault does not even deserve and answer.

Okay, show of hands. Who here besides me is worried?

Don't be shy. We're all friends here..

Anyone?

We had a temp guy a few years ago at work. We're showing him around the first few days, and we decide to go to lunch in the van our group has. We walk up, and he says "hey! it's the bangbus!"

Things suddenly got awkward, as those of us familiar with the term were giggling, while those that were not were scratching their heads and looking confused.

It's times like these when you think that this temp person is down on their luck or just hasn't quite made it into the big industry yet. Listen to their stories of not finding the right place. Then they open their mouths and you go "Oh now I see.."

We have crews replacing the main gas line in our neighborhood. They're slowly making their way towards the house, and I'm worried what they'll be digging up, as there's flags/marker's everywhere.

If they dig up a Native American burial ground, remember... Don't go into the light! No wait, go into the light, yeah, that was it.

Nonononono!

Just make sure you're not in the house when it implodes into the singularity generated by the netherworld.

That's the important thing. Yeah. That, and don't eat that left-over steak.

^D^

What's tactical about knowing where all your enemies are, what they are armed with, and where they are going to attack you from? Is the POV from a spy satellite?

Well, Silent Storm was real time until you ran into enemies, at which point it went into Turn Based mode. But, you could force real time by cancelling out of TB mode, which was actually pretty useful if you wanted to run up and katana some people, for example.

That's exactly how JA2 worked, but not how this game works. This game has more in common with Synapsis, which makes it a lesser game imo. It went from a 'must-buy' to a " maybe on a sale" with that change.

once enough turns passed without enemies being spotted the game would return to RT. It was how you set up ambushes in JA and SS hide your team, point them in the right direction and wait in RT.

I will try the demo when I get home but judging by the video I saw last all the enemies are in plain view and you know their locations at all times. It's not hard to win a shoot out when you know exactly what your enemy is doing... it's like playing checkers.

Syndicate requires you to adapt quickly to many new gameplay features

You do this by hitting B to Breach on everything that pops up. Rolleyes

Creston

So it started with A for Awesome, now it's B for Breach. The gaming industry hasn't changed much since edu'games on the Macintosh II.

Funny or sad? I could get a lesser sentence for manslaughter then they got for 'copy infringement'.
Remember downloading Micheal Jackson albums can get your 5 years in prison as well as a hefty fine.

Killing Micheal Jackson gets you 4 years in prison with the possibility of house arrest later on.

I haven't noticed better memory usage with FF at all. It's still a pig.

I did a test a while back between FF and IE and IE used so much less memory it wasn't even funny. I miss the old days of FF when it really was fast and light. That was probably, version 1.0 and earlier.

go try them all out.

Me too. I am so sad that they abandoned the turn-based brilliance of the first, but I am willing to give the pause-and-go system a chance.

I use the pause-and-go system at home, especially when watching movies... After eating mexican...
