Sprint can't offer you a $100 dollar smartphone if they think you might take it and switch to AT&T next week. That'll mean you cost them several hundred dollars.
Then by your logic I should not have to lock in for 2 years or pay a early termination fee if I already have a phone I can use with the new contract.
Plus .. For those of us who a cell phone for "just" phone calls and don't need the features of a smartphone. A generic plain cell phone doesn't cost "several hundred dollars".
So why should I have to pay for you to get a deal on a phone? |

Cell phone companies can subsidize phones because they know we're locked in for 2 years.
The 2 years lock in contract was to ensure that the phone companies had a reliable client base in the early years of cell phone usage so that they could invest in expanding the cell phone coverage area without fear of the technology going bust.
And while that was an understandable stragedy back then, with the popularity of the cell now it's just a way to make an extra buck on people who want to switch providers because of bad service.
On a side note the 2 year contract is the MAIN reason I won't switch from cable to FIOS. Even though it's been in area for 3 months now. |

I never said STALKER wasn't a good game. I said the opposite, in fact. However, when you said it was a better game (and deeper) than DX, I had to voice my disagreement.
If you disagree with me, that's fine. But you shouldn't get so riled up over someone defending their opinion.

I hope they add an IGNORE feature for all text and VOICE spam. Complete IGNORE is needed.
I was gonna say something about how can you play as a team in a game based on teamplay without any means on communication, then I saw you posted this
I just go in and hack and TK for fun and profit

Anyone know for "sure" what's gonna be required to run this?
All the info on System Requirements that I can find seem to be speculation based on Quake IV requirements.
I'm really hoping this isn't gonna be like MOH:Airborne and Bioshock and the SM3.0 requirement. |
