Funcom are getting some bad press in Norway at the moment because they are being accused of bad work environment and other things. There's workers' union pressure and the agency responsible for overseeing these kinds of things say they may investigate at the start of 2009.

Looks cool. Wonder what the performance drop will be from running with only 1 GPU ...

A 30" monitor has a higher resolution than a 1080p TV. A 280GTX SLI Core i7 setup would be better paired with the monitor than the TV.

Dear Rockstar: WHY ARE THE DOCUMENTS ON THE SUPPORT PAGE ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENTS? THEY SHOULD BE ALL PDFS.

I generally avoid Windows updates, as they often break things.

Yeah, like exploits and security holes.

So you're saying the installer from Windows Update is crap? If so can you post a link to the "full network install"?
That is exactly what I'm saying. I have never had a good experience with a service pack web update. The full network install is faster, too since you have all the files locally.

Install SP3 from the full network install. The web install is 100% certified shit.

amBX is pretty much worthless for me. Loads of peripherals taking up space just for some flashing lights and blowing air.

yeah actually i am testing a 40gb SSD. thats why i was complaining of the bloated driver package. they could provide a separate installer without physx since not all video cards support it. but thanks for assuming i had no motive for my post.

All the cards that are supported by this driver support PhysX via CUDA. Get your facts straight.

The 180 series drivers fix the digital vibrance issue from earlier driers.

Horseshit, all the years I've been using Nvidia cards, I never got a performance boost of any set of drivers I've used.

nvidia has had some strategic driver releases in the past that coincided with an ATI board launch which somehow made their cards faster. I guess that never happened, though.

Symantec Endpoint Protection is going to cost him much more because it's not really intended for home users.

Norton Internet Security 2009 is very fast and very non-intrusive (its better than SEP, actually). Other Symc security products were bloated and had some issues, this one is much much better.

Granted, I haven't tested the latest version of Norton, but SEP is totally non-intrusive.

Blue, you should try Symantec Endpoint Protection. It's much lighter than Norton and better and sleeker and no sounds and it's just better.
