Well, it's more selective than "All of 2008's games randomly reordered in a list" from The Telegraph.

So what? The most demanding PC games don't max out the CPU. One component of a console not being absolutely maxed out means nothing. Dev quotes like this are stupid and serve only to be misquoted into "The PS3 is only utilizing 60% of its power for Killzone 2! It can handle 40% more polys and soon as we find the secret key to unlocking its ultra power! Movie level graphics!"

Sands of Time is a great game, but it plays much better on a console..

How? It's a third person action game with controllable camera. Essentially a third person shooter where Fire and Alt. Fire have been replaced by Attack 1 and Attack 2, plus the fully controllable camera favors the mouse for ease of use while moving/fighting.

16. Re: Good Old Games Sale Dec 3, 2008, 16:23 Zyrxil

And I don't see why *any* publisher would reject an offer to host something on GoG. We're talking about mostly long out-of-print titles you couldn't find in a store if you wanted to. GoG is likely the only chance old games have of making money.

To make a sweeping generalization (the best kind!), Publishers are Suits. These are no different than the RIAA or MPAA, except they do not have nearly as much influence. Their business does not require shittons of creative thought - they are simply guys with money making investments. It takes a helluva lot to make a boring business school guys understand that selling 100,000 with 1,000,000 copies pirated is better than selling 50,000 with 500,000 copies pirated.

splitscreen size isn't an issue.

Playing in a 320x240 window isn't all that appealing either.

19. Re: Bully PC Issues Oct 26, 2008, 14:10 Zyrxil

Bully was made by a different studio, so I don't think there's much to worry about, especially considering the high quality ports of the GTA3 series.

Are we remembering the same games here? GTA3 ran terribly if you didn't use the frame limiter. GTA:VC was much much much better, but it still had somes issues if you didn't use the frame limiter. GTA:SA didn't have frame limiter issues, but it had lots of geometry popup that plagued both earlier games.

I mean, I had always loved Fallout; so did everyone else at Bethesda.

Including the devs who admitted never playing Fallout before?

Either that's the most tongue-tied quote I've ever seen on Blues, or that ellipsis was intentionally placed to make him seem drunk and self-contradictory.

On the other hand, you can plug in a gamepad, and the PC version was much prettier. In a shallow game, that counts for a lot.

I can't believe they're pumping these out so fast; they only gave pre-alpha sneak peeks, like what, 8 months ago?

I'm sure dialog will still be good

Is that sarcasm, or are you actually that dense? Oblivion's dialogue was absolutely fucking terrible, and one of the main reasons people didn't want Bethesda making this game. That they won't show any of it in previews is not reassuring.

There is a "Penny Arcade Expo"?

What rock have you been living under? They're holding the -5th- annual PAX this year.
