Not really unexpected, Resident Evil 1-2-3-4 have all had PC ports.

can we just let this sad, tired, depressingly out of date macho-chest beating sexist bullshit IP die and be buried?
Its not like gaming hasn't moved on since 1923 or whenever it was duke nukem was cool.

What games have you been playing? Macho cheat-beating sells millions, except now they just spout dark reflections on the apocalyptic state of the world, instead of Bruce Campbell one-liners, and their chainsaws are attached to their guns instead of their hands.

Do you even know what the term means? Symptoms of consolitis include console oriented UIs, relative reduction of skill needed to succeed, oversaturation of action elements over more slower more patient gameplay, and itchy rash.

I never understood why publishers give Gamestop so many pre-order bonus deals at the same time they bitch about Gamestop used game sales.

Its a fighting game... on PC. I would not be surprised if ANYONE bothered to stock it.

Hey, plenty of fighting games are on PC...in Japan. Hell, the arcade cabinets are PCs.

You're not seriously suggesting anyone would keep you alive if that sort of thing were done?

Yeah, this seems like a very stupid thing to do during a global economy like this.

Here's your answer:

To be fair, Adam Sessler is 10 years old inside.

I want to finish it but it's not fun anymore... The target locking system is most of the frustration. I'd say most of the combat late game depends on that target locking system and if you touch the right stick at the wrong time it jumps to another target which is extremely annoying.
You hold down the targeting button for precise lock-ons. There's a second of slow-mo every time you do that. It's in the tutorial tips at the beginning.

The Elizabeth Greene fight I didn't find hard at all. Armor on->hijack tank->shoot with both guns->tank dies->whip power, zip to heli, hijack->blow shit up->heli dies->hijack some more.

What's the point of more multiplayer when no one's playing the game online anyway? They don't even provide dedicated server software, ffs.

That's absolutely ridiculous. There's no difference between buying online and buying in-store in terms of what you get these days.

Also, I have to wonder, what would you even do on B.net if you don't own D3/SC2?

I can't see the port not being solid, if you have a decent machine, since the arcade machines (Taito X^2) are PCs running embedded Windows XP.

I don't really care if it's called Super Duper Laser Rifle 3000 or Laser Rifle X, it's just weapon stats underneath the name anyways.

That's part of the problem, the same weapon stats underneath. The weapon design was a boring "+5% dmg" per roman numeral rank. This is obviously inferior to individually designed weapons with interesting descriptions ala Fallout (which makes every upgrade meaningful), or extremely varied number of randomly generated weapons ala Diablo (which makes drops exciting).
